I think that the accuracy increases as you get closer to modern times (i.e., the New Testament stuff), but the Old Testament is just laughable - giants, the Tower of Babel, Garden of Eden, talking snakes, Jewish slaves building the pyramids, etc. Some parts are accurate, some aren't. I don't worry ...

Re: Believers, a question from an agnostic...
What would it take for you to stop believing what you currently believe? Is there any scenario, no matter how far-fetched, in which you might say "Wow, I guess I was wrong this whole time"? For example, let's say a being appeared on earth tomorrow and said "Hey, sorry about all the c...

Well here's another poser for you guys then. How do you reconcile an all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving god with the fucked up shit that happens in the world every day? I'm willing to allow that there might be a god that has two of those three characteristics, but a god with all three would ...

The Loveless-Return of the Ex-Girlfriend 5. Shameless-Goodbye 2 U I'd really be shocked if anybody here's heard any of these. If you ...

What books have you read lately???
Due to my role at my job every four weeks, I have a lot of down time (about three-four hours a day, actually) and have been using it to get caught up on my reading. Pounded out the following: 1. Ivanhoe 2. A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich 3. Howard's End 4. Much Ado About Nothing (play) 5. Who's...

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Good movie. I think I preferred it to the book (the vogon's apparent feelings of pride in his poetry were better than those in the book). Very clever humor. If you avoided it due to the PG, you don't know what your missing.

I saw this and agree with peeps here. VERY brutal. I couldn't believe that guy had that much blood in his body. The long hair at the end (died after being handcuffed to the trailer) sorta' came out of nowhere (I didn't remember seeing him earlier). I do recommend this one to anybody who enjoys horro...

When ranking a band's albums, it's rather roundly accepted never to use their live output since most live albums have been over produced and over dubbed to the point of being rather false representatives of the band's output. Just sayin'. p.s. I saw Ween live in about '00. Wasn't much to write home ...

Playing in a poor division, what do I see?
Rookie phenom Jonathan Sanchez is in AAA.
Todd Santos is in the minors.
Todd Linden is on the bench.
Brad Hennessey is in the bully.
WRIGHT IS IN THE ROTATION?????
Any other Giants fans, if you can explain it, it'd be most appreciated. Thank you much.

Just got back into town today from CO. I hate to say it, but the show was kind of underwhelming, all things considered. The GO Team opened up and just gave me a 30 minute headache. Yes, the band w...

Why is it that lefties seem to lump people like Ann Coulter in the same group as people like Bill O'Reilly and Shawn Hannity? Do they not see the difference? I mean, for real. It's mind boggling.

Metallica in late 91 or early 92 - touring in support of the Black album. Fuckin' sellouts. I don't know what I was thinking - I'd already bought and hated the album. Warrant Have seen them three times in Lincoln clubs, all in the early-mid 90's. First time was original lineup at the Grove. Blew the roof off the place. Excellent show. Next time was at Guitars. Two new members (kingdom clone castoffs). Still excellent, even with the 9 foot high stage. The third t...

Yngwie Malmsteen at a club here in town. Had Mike Vescera singing. The Y man was unleashing the fury and about 200 extra pounds. Was about 100 peeps there. He threw out about 500 guitar picks. Then why doesn't the RIAA take Air America to court over their live streaming? Some kind of agreement has been reached in which I speculate that somebody clued the RIAA in as to their oversweeping idiocy. Not in time though for many syndicated shows and pro leagues to start charging for streaming, ...

The music industry was responsible for mp3.com being shut down? I knew many artists who promoted their music on there. They were hurt when the site first cut back to only allowing three songs per, then went away altogether. Maybe we should send around a hat and get a new substitute to that site. I'd...

Fifteen dollars to shoot the video, eh? Does that include the stock footage that was intermixed in the video?
