Re: Opinions on Palin?
Unfortunately, from the interviews I've seen her give with CBS and ABC, Palin looks a little nervous on camera. I hope I'm wrong in that assessment. She seems hesitant in her answers too, when the interviewer isn't on her side. I'll keep watching. The debate with Biden is important.

I heard Newt talking on Hannity today. I agree with him. Sure we let them have the bailout money. As a loan. They pay the taxpayers back in five years, with interest. I'm alright with that.

Short selling
I have a friend who works with stocks and he says that short selling had a lot to do with this latest economic crisis (esp with the companies going belly up). He gave us a crash course in what the practice entails (in addition to saying that he hated it) and it sounds like fraud to me. Anywho, anybo...

Thanks Rozy. Didn't know that one. I guess they're now stuck with Biden. The ticket was nominated, not just Obama and whoever he decides to bring to the dance.
Good link, btw.

I like her a lot as a candidate, but would like to see her get more access to the press. Don't understand why the McCain camp is keeping her away from the press as they are. I think she can handle herself quite well. Your thoughts?

Re: and the left thinks McCain is loony ??
Simple reason why a lot of this is going down, if you believe the rumor mill. Separation by the Obama camp. A reason for change. Etc. The date to watch for, supposedly (though I think that might be a bit presumptuous) is 10/5 of this year. Palin frightens the Obama camp and the Democrats more than t...

Re: Best choice for McCain's running mate???
I agree that McCain's been awful at times in his past. Lesser of two evils is still evil. However, Palin, from what I can tell, IS the real deal. I too won't wish ill on McCain. Palin came somewhat out of nowhere as did Obama. However, in the past few years, she's actually affected change in Alaska....

Re: Best choice for McCain's running mate???
With Palin, we have a candidate who has executive experience. That's something that Obama can't brag. Also, though she is 'inexperienced' in the grand scheme of things, there is a reason why she's insanely popular in Alaska and it's not because she's doing a horrific job. I think that this next week...

Or visa versa. Obama's not going to run against inexperience, it just hinders the GOP argument against him to have someone even younger on their ticket. Not really. Sad to say, but I do agree that Lieberman would be a bad pick. The entire ticket would be weighed down on the left side. How often does a veep matter this much? McCain's not exactly young and his running mate is of utmost importance in this race.
