I actually liked the formation where Ginn is lined up outside and then was running routes back to the middle of the field from the three WR bunch. Most teams would play zone against that and it would create a mismatch with Ginn on a safety or LB. Texas however did a great job of covering him at time...

I hope for your sake our wide receivers don't figure out how to run a route or get open cause I got news for you the QB play wasn't the problem Saturday and I was there, per the norm, to see it in person. That is still open for discussion. We don't know if QB play was the problem because your coach...

Killian, My comment is based on comments by Weiss back when he had his stomach stapled a few years ago. A sports station in PVD asked him if he might consider a HC position in college to pad his resume for a HC position in the NFL. He said he absolutely would, and further that he was an NFL guy thru...

Skull, I know you have a hard time giving props to anything Texas, but saying VY only threw one good pass in the game is of jon/babs type garbage. Yes, VY had two stupid picks that he shouldn't have thrown, but the rest were pretty damn good passes. Every pass he threw on that final drive was good. ...

BtH got it as usual. You are correct in that the ball is live, but don't forget that it is still a kick play and as such certain things apply. The receiving team is entitled to all opportunities to make the catch, including unimpeded path to the ball, an opportunity to possess the ball after the cat...

Indy, from what I gather it comes down to definitions. The kicking team can't advance a kick. If we changed the definition to say that a muff ends a kick many other things would change too including momentum. Not sure we want to go there. But this rule has been on the books as long as I have been pl...

To bottom line it, the kicking team can not advance a kick. A muff does not end the kick. Only possession or the ball becoming dead by rule ends the kick play. That is why if possession is gained by the receiving team and then they fumble the kicking team can advance the ball. In that situation the ...
