low usage of system resources When you are playing a DVD, are you not essentially throwing system resource conservation to the wind? Checking through Quicken during the Passion of the Christ or something? ;) p.s. WinDVD for me I'm a multitasking mofo... that, or I have acute ADD. I know it isn't cr...

Best DVD player software - Preferably free

I am looking for a good, preferably free, DVD player program for my PC. My burner came with PowerDVD... is that one just as good as any other one out there (i.e., low usage of system resources, easy to use) or do you cats recommend another?

Add a pinch of ground cinnamon to your favorite sauce. You can thank me later.

It's alive!!!

My first post from my new rig. Got an ASUS A7V880 mobo with an AMD 2700+ chip and a bunch of other crap jammed inside a big ol' honking Antec box. There's faster stuff out there for sure, but the price was right, bitch. Still got some setting up to do, but as of now I think the only issue I had was ...

BugMeNot is so fucking cool, I sometimes go to sites just so I can block their ads.
StumbleUpon is a pretty cool waste of time.
FocusLastSelectedTab is one that I can't live without.
Adblock is a must have.

$8.00 per hour dildo at Best Buy gave me this same advice. Thats not a slam against you all, but I normally do not trust a damn thing they say. Swell. At least I know that if worse comes to worse, I at least can count on pulling in $8.00 an hour. Needing help RIGHT NOW, I spotted a couple of stoner...

How about making the old drive a "slave," attach it to your new computer IDE cable and copy the directories over? That's what I was thinking, too. It's pretty easily done and requires nothing more than moving a jumper and making a couple of connections. You probably won't be able to trans...

Plus, the defrag seems to take longer than the virus scan..... If your defrag is taking longer than 2.5 hours you've got some issues. I would first run the disk cleanup utility to get rid of all the temp files and clutter. Then disable your A/V and your screensaver and make sure your power settings...
