TORONTO, Ontario, Canada — The NHL has released its officiating roster for the upcoming season.

On staff for the first season since 2003-2004 are 43 referees and 34 linesmen.

Leading in seniority this season are Fraser, Koharski, Pare, and Schachte at 31, 27, 25, and 22 years of service respectively.

With the retirements of Dan McCourt, Kevin Collins, Randy Mitton, and Ray Scapinello, this will be the first season in the NHL’s history that no linesmen will officiate without a helmet.

As for referees, only Devorski, Fraser, and McGeough will sport their hair on the ice.

The NHL regular season begins October 5.
