Logic says the Super Bowl champs roll a 5-11 team in their home opener.

Did logic say Lyle Lovett would bone Julia Roberts....?

Logic is made to be broken, fans.

As is Tom Brady's snout.

This one's gonna be fucking ugly 'Tart. Word out of Raider camp is that these guys are salivating to put a serious fucking beatdown on the Patriots and make a statement to the rest of the league.

The glory days are back again with this young, badass squad.

Jordan goes fucking wild and gets 150 recieving/rush yards combined.

Dillon rips 'em for 125 and a score. Brady tosses two more. Vinatieri is the difference.

Jordan goes for 60-70 yards and a score. Collins hits Moss for two.

Your talking about a team that is 16-0 at home over the past two seasons. As TH said it is banner hanging night......

Moss takes an early play off and gets lit up by Harrison. He has been cracking people all over the place this preseason.

Call me crazy, but I like the 'duhs in this one.

24-21

Jano misses on early on in the second half and gets a shot at redemption. Collins plays his "damn, this guy's freaking good" game of the year, before lapsing into the Kerry we've all come to know and drop from our fantasy squads in utter dismay.

The Champs- 34
The Cellar Dwellers-24

The Patriots dominate the game as the Raiders get a late TD to make the game seem closer than it was.

16 games this week.

Odds-makers have the largest spread at 7 1/2 points. Pats over duhs.

Tart, you will be seeing me taking the Pats at 16, and Im guessing I will be seeing you taking Oakland with your 1.

and yet "kc" dave--->that won't matter overall as 'orc has entered his Phil Jackson like Trance...and will probably pull a -4 or -6 on his 1st Pick Week.

Last year , when Collins was making his first start after Gannon was was IR'd , everybody was on the Collins bandwagon . I was watching The NFL on FOX the morning of Collins' first start , and Long and Bradshaw were riding said bandwagon . Jimmy Johnson said " Yeah , just wait until he starts throwing all those picks " .

Collins threw 2 picks and a fumble lost , that game , if I am correct .

Of course , he turned the ball over much more the coming games .

Dave's point is a valid one. Longest shot on the board opening day, and right on cue, Raiduh myopia is back in full stride.

Dare I mention the Raiduhs pourousa$$ defense of last year, which if anything got worse with a sub-par crop of free agent signings.

Here's the hype from the Duh's website:

Statistically, the Raiders dominated all four of their pre-season opponents. The Silver and Black Attack ranked sixth in the NFL in total offense averaging 358 yards per game, while the defense finished third in the NFL in the pre-season allowing just 250 yards per game. The defense allowed just 63 points in four games. The Raiders also dominated time of possession - 32:21 to 27:39.

In the first half of their pre-season games alone, the Raiders offense out-gained their opponents 837 yards to 411, an average of 209 - 103.

Is it any wonder the faithful are in such fine preseason form.

Here's the Duh's starting linebacker/CB/S corp.....household names one and all...

OLB Tyler Brayton
MLB Danny Clark
OLB Grant Irons
LCB Nnamdi Asomugha
RCB Charles Woodson
SS Derrick Gibson
FS Stuart Schweigert

Myopia will last another week, however after a viscious pounding at the hands of the Pats, we can all get on to week 2.

Lets pour a little more fuel on this fire.

Guess the highest over/under on the board this week? 50 friggin points. Jets @ KC, two damn fine offenses, while the Jets have a some what suspect defense, and until proven otherwise, KC's defense sucks? Ummmm, NO! The highest over/under belongs to the Pats and duhs.

Pats not only win, but they also cover, and then embarrass Alice and all of his Kool-Aid drinking, trick-or-treating degenerates.

No..this coming from a fan of the team that drubbed the Duhs twice last year.

Myopia...

The difference being, the last I checked I havn't pegged the Bolts to beat a team that's won 3 of the last 4 Super Bowls.

BTW..just what have the Raiduhs done in the past 20 years??

If the Raiduh's put up 49 in their first three games I'll be freekin shocked.

Break it down Bri.

just how does a QB who ended up on his backside 30 some times last year have enough time vs. the Pat's defense to rack up anything close to 49? just wondering

That QB didn't have a running game at all to make the defense honest. 49 points may be a little optomistic. But I don't think it is out of line at all to expect a shootout this game.

That is, unless the weather is shitty.
