One of the greatest metal albums ever, was released 55 years ago this week.
Polar vortex is on the way. FOC will be a cryogenic container for
the next week.... meaning it will be another week or so before I can
wave my dick in a warm breeze, declare winter over, and watch
HPG melt and refreeze, over and over.
Got very close to that #3peat, but it wasn't meant to be.
Worst job of coaching by Andy and his staff that I have
ever seen. Poor game plan, and made worse by refusing
to make any adjustments. Philly was clearly the better team,
and it's possible that no changes would have helped... but
for fucks sake, at least try. They refused, got the shit kicked
out of them, and are now the latest laughingstock of the league.
In hindsight it should have been easy to see coming... very few
games were clear cut winners. The ball bounced KC's way many
times this year, and virtually all 50/50 calls went their way as
well.... shit happens. I can recite a list longer than my arm of
the ways KC was fucked in games over the last 50 years... so
no apologies issued when the pendulum swings back in our favor.
We lost Prince way too soon, wish he was still with us.
Gotta give props to KC. No, they didn't win the Super Bowl, but they did achieve something that no other team has ever done, winning two in a row and then making it to the Super Bowl for the third time in a row. And I don't think they are going away either, they will be a contender next year as well.
Valentine's Day was yesterday, and my beautiful wife surprised me with some cooking classes. One will be where you cook a meal and then eat it, and the other will be a class on sauces, and I'm really looking forward to that one.
I continue to recover from surgery, not much pain at all anymore, but my strength isn't back yet. Sure, I'm stronger now than a week ago, but damn it seems this recovery is slower than it should be. I feel fairly good in the mornings, but by the afternoon it is nap time.
LSU baseball got off to a good start yesterday, even if it was against Purdue Fort Wayne. LSU has a young team, but evidently the team is loaded. One game at a time, and game 2 of the season is later this morning.
The little dogs are letting me know that it is time for their morning walk. Y'all have a good one.
Democrats in Mississippi and Ohio think that should be illegal.
Screwy's employment prospects are looking up, though.
You might have this mixed up -you have to have a job, this job, to go jerk off. He's a jerk off trying to find a job-completely out of the order of things in this 'industry,'

All that jizz ain’t gonna mop itself up.

Screwy's policy is to catch the seed before it reaches the ground.

Rack!
Prince recorded his first album... that's right.
In the San Francisco Bay Area just on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito.
Prince loved being in The City and would play here all time at small clubs unannounced. Maybe playing to 100-200 people.
He played in The City just two weeks before his death.

The Association is in The City this weekend.
Everyone knows it’s Windy.

A young Southern gal named Denise
Found herself in trouble with the police
Because with complete disregard
She went to her yard
And had sex with her young Pekinese

Was that natural or unnatural sex?

Another relaxing weekend for me... a 3-day weekend, thank goodness. Just finished making a pot of chicken (thigh meat) and white bean chili. Will be devouring a bowl of that shortly. Golf on TV at the moment, then not sure what for later this eve. Yeah, thrilling life for me at the moment this weekend. May watch 'Air' for what would probably be the 4th time.
Enjoy the weekend, everyone- except for screwy. I hope that racist POS steers his bicycle into the Potomac. Seriously.

Air is okay but you might mix it up with a different Nike movie. Have you seen Prefontaine?
Wife and I wanted to watch a romantic movie for Valentines Day but finding one that isn't insipid and formulaic is a difficult task. We settled on Edward Scissorhands and there were no regrets. That movie rocks. :bedsex: was also had.

I'm not a big movie fan. Never heard of Prefontaine, among countless others that most of you are aware of. I'll check and see if available via Prime and look into it, thanks.
I was NEVER, and remain not, an NBA fan. With that said, when I would scroll through channels in the late 80's and well into the 90's and saw that the Bulls were on (can't remember the Chicago cable channel) I'd always watch. Jordan was a cold hearted killer on the court. The best ever. So, that is why I like 'Air' so much.

I am an insufferable movie snob and part of that is because I have very little down time and if I invest 2 hours into something that sucks I'm gonna be pissed.
Air was good. Showed Matt Damon's range and I appreciated that.
Prefontaine is the story of a track star at Oregon during the time Nike founder Bill Knight was developing the world's first shoe specialized for running. Steve Prefontaine was one of the fastest middle distance guys in the country and one of Bill's test subjects for the shoe. It's the history of two legends in the same place at the same time. Great, great story.

Thanks. Just downloaded and about to watch.
Look into 'Coffee and Cigarettes', directed by Jim Jarmuch. The film actually was developed over a 10+ yr. period. Not for everyone, but I always enjoy it when I revisit it. Not a story, but rather 10-15 min vignettes that have NOTHING to do with each other except that well, coffee and cigarettes are involved in each.
For the record, watched it for the 1st time some 15 yrs ago w/a new girlfriend and afterwards fucked her for the 1st time. Before we left the bar to go back to my place (in separate cars) she said, make sure to stop and get condoms because I am going to fuck you tonight.
Maybe that's why I like the movie so much. Perhaps it sucks.

According to Prime Video, Steven Wright was part of the origin story. Love me some Steven Wright.

Doesn't surprise me... if I recall correctly, he is in the very first scene. Steven Wright is pretty good.
Just finished watching Prefontaine. Excellent recommendation, thanks. I shed a tear at the end. Had no idea of this story.

Glad you liked it. The ending comes out of no where. I wanted you to experience that organically so I didn't spoil it for you.
I love the scene where the shoes come apart and Steve is worried about his finish time while Knight ignores him, more worried about improving the shoe.
