Next coach is likely already settled on. I’m thinking Lanning or Dabo. If Dabo embraces the portal, coming home and starting anew might work.

I think Lanning's going to be a great one for us, but the key words there are "going to be". He hasn't done anything yet. 2 seasons as a head coach and not even a conference championship. This year was really good...not great, but I wouldn't want him to follow Saban if I were an Alabama fan.

I'm hoping they go with Deboer, because there's nothing better than Husky tears, but honestly Deboer has a similar issue to Lanning. Not a ton of great success at this level. He was in the NAIA 4 years ago and while this year was great, I would want to see him do it with another QB first. But he's a little more seasoned than Lanning, so at least there's that.

I was looking forward to watching Downs become one of the best DBs ever produced at Bama. The kid played like a veteran his freshman season. This one hurts.

That seems to be the consensus amongst Tide fans.

THE fan base is now convinced Sayin will be following Downs to Columbus and that leaves a possibility to convince Proctor also.

I think tOSU will be preseason #1 next fall (not that it matters). But the o-line is still the weakest link. Proctor would help matters there.

Proctor is either homesick or simply has no desire to play for a national championship.

We need someone to regulate NIL. There has to be a way to monitor and control it and the portal or CFB will devolve to an unrecognizable disaster.

Bama picking up big commits and the re-commitment of Ryan Williams. That is huge. Bodes well for Coach DeBoer and the Tide.
