I suspect things went like this over the past few weeks...

Kierland was given a time out (2 weeks?) because he put up multiple posts about how he would deliver physical beatdowns to board members.
Kierland's posting style prior to those "beatdown" posts had been problematic to many other board members.
During the time out period, or maybe before, PMs were sent to Kierland warning him about his posting style.
He was told that he needed to clean that up, because to a lot of members, he was ruining the board.

Kierland's time out was over, and he eventually came back in and starting putting up posts yesterday.
He immediately began posting in the same manner as he had been doing for many months in here, except I did not notice any new beatdown posts.
Roach sort of called him out on how he was posting, and Kierland snubbed his nose at Roach.
That wasn't really a good idea.

The hammer was dropped on Kierland.

The powers-that-be here no doubt have the view that Kierland is basically spamming the board, and that is not looked upon well.

I find it unfortunate, because Kierland is a long timer.
He's been in the community for ages, and he sometimes puts up very good posts.
And I basically don't like seeing anyone get banned.

This is just my read on things.
Not absolute fact.
And those involved in the situation no doubt have their own perspectives on things.

Kierland was the reason I stopped posting for quite a while. So I missed this thread.

Thank you to whoever gave that pathetic excuse for a human the hammer.

I compared him to Biff from Back to the Future whenever he entered the diner...or really whenever he was on the screen.

I have been a board poster for 25 years now dating back to SCIII. I don't mind joking around, giving people shit, whatever. But personal smack and threats are just not needed. These boards are supposed to be fun and a way to kick back and talk about and discuss various topics. I really don't care if you disagree with me or not. But threatening someone because of an opposing view is completely over the top and definitely a banable offense.

I wasn't even aware of the LOtY option until earlier this week. Not a good week for this, considering most teams that have clinched a playoff game are sitting one or more of their top players. I thought the Ravens being 3.5 point dogs at home vs the Steelers was a sure thing, until I found out that Jackson won't be playing. Niners and Rams are both sitting their best players.
