Why All the Raves for Washington?

Trying to figure out what folks see in the Huskies. They appear to be a good team among a large group of good teams. I see no dominant team at all at this point of the season.

Someone Saturday said Washington had played a “challenging” schedule. WTF?!?! They’ve played Boise State (decent), Tulsa (garbage), Cal (garbage), Michigan State (garbage), and Arizona (garbage). So we really have zero clue about the quality of UW. I would still have to rank them in the top ten due to the lack of obviously good teams

Ohio State and Texas are the only undefeated teams with a good win right now. As much as it pains me, I’d rank the Buckeyes #1 today. Even though their schedule has sucked, Oregon has looked solid as well. We shall see who is better when Oregon and Washington meet on the 14th of this month. Florida State would also merit some consideration.

do you see any "dominant team" in your neck of the woods? UGA struggled at Auburn, Tide lost to Texas. LSU @ Ole MIss was a total who can fuck up the least down the stretch with a total bad call TD for LSU.

people here in the "West" (I live in Colorado) like UW. I find it interesting Huskies had to make a quick coaching change 2 years ago in between the Pederson years and they sucked with the dude they hired and whammo, back again.

dominant, I don't know.....but no one dominant anywhere.

MIchigan looks pretty good but hasn't played anyone.

Nope, there’s not a team in the SEC that has looked really good. Not one

I don’t dislike Washington. I think they’re likely the 2nd best team in the PAC. It just threw me when I heard something about their “tough” schedule, which has been weak as hell.

I agree about Michigan. Looks like a good team, but…they’ve played no one.

It’ll all start shaking out soon. Washington/Oregon (USC has no D…maybe WSU and Oregon State?), UT/OU, UGA/Bama/TA&M (?), Florida State, tOSU, UM, PSU…nobody jumps out as superior right now.

What are you west coasters expecting in the Oregon-Washington matchup ?

I’m thinking Oregon by 10-14. We shall see soon.

I'd put money on Washington...but not my life savings.

Qualifies as a must watch game.

Oregon coach was an idiot for going for it on 4th down. Punt it, flip the field, make them go 80+ yards for a TD.

I like being aggressive, but you gotta use your brain. Lanning let too many opportunities for points get away. Great game, though. Two really solid teams. Likely see them play again.

lanning, like so many before him.....failed to reinvent the game of football.

he coaches D. punt the ball, kick a FG. get points. Trust your D, even a little (and that's what you got hired for).

play field position in the 2nd half. instead of fucking yourself with all this analytics go for it 4th down bullshit.

Looks like Washington might get the PAC12 into the playoffs.

Just in time for their collapse.

Huskies scrape by again.

Alright Beavers. It’s up to you. It’s in Corvallis. It’s time.

I agree.

I just need some of these teams outta the way. Counting on UW blowing one.

Bama needs a lot of help. The big issue for them is Texas.

Yep. Thought K-State was going to get it done, but nope.

Very frustrating right now.

11-0 now after beating the #11 Beavers. If they roll Washington State next weekend it would be pretty hard to keep them out of the playoff.

Oregon in the championship game is my last hope…assuming they beat Oregon State and make the game. Probably already in.

If Oregon has clinched 2nd place, be great if they lose to OSU, then beat Washington for PAC title. Of course all my dreaming is dependent upon Bama winning at Auburn and beating Georgia.
