Australian Open

Three American men made the quarterfinals, which is nice to see.

Two of them got knocked OUT in the quarters.

Men's semifinals are set...

Karen Khachanov vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas
Novak Djokovic vs. Tommy Paul (USA)

The balls and the courts are playing very slow.
That being the case, and with Djoker cruising the last couple of rounds, it is hard to imagine him not winning the title.

I like Khachanov in 4 sets and NoVax in 3 sets.

Djoker is wiping the floor with fools. Tommy Paul could take a set off of him (possibly) but I say your prediction, Bat, is likely.

Djoker about to win 10 Aussie Open titles.

How is this? Aren't they simple hard courts, i.e. pavement?

How are the balls playing slow? Thought they had strict standards for balls.

Hard courts vary in speed depending on how much "grit" is used in the mix that is laid down to create the court.
If a hard court feels "smooth" it will be fast.
If the court feels more "gritty," it will be slow.

Some players have complained about the slow balls this year.
It is talked about toward the end of this article.

Thanks friend. I have noticed on various courts in DC that some have more "grit" than others. Always wondered about that.

A gritty court seems like a good way to blow out a knee.

I thought NoVax was banned from downunder because he's a looney-tune "vaccine" denier?

Or have the Aussie finally pulled their heads out of their asses?

You want me to explain 12grade science as it relates to virus mutation? Why didn’t you just pay attention in class? Too busy stuffing your face with ding-dongs?

I never was concerned about him being vaxxed. I was concerned about him being a douche.

The Aussie government dropped its Covid vax requirement.

As it stands right now, Djoker will once again not be allowed to play in the U.S. Open later this year, due to the U.S. government policy of not allowing foreigners IN to the country unless they are vaccinated.

Can't have NoVax bringing the plague in to the U.S.

The current Vaccines are not infection blocking, they’re not broad, and they have very short duration.

And then there was one. I guess it makes sense since Djoker is the youngest of the Big Three, but still... :(

As for the vaccine scheme, Fauci and the CDC hooknosed parasites should be hauled before the Hague immediately.

And Gates of course belongs in a padded cell.

The evidence is pretty clear that at this stage the vax is behind the curve of the viruses mutations. That’s how science works. Doesn’t mean the US can’t or even shouldn’t bar the non vaxxed.

Suppose he could fly into Mexico and just walk across the border. He can claim asylum and they'll even put him on a bus to New York. Easy-peasy.

He can’t claim asylum. Just one more thing you drone on about that you have no idea how it works.

NoVax dusted off T. Paul in 3 sets.

Tsitsipas won in 4 sets, and reaches his first grand slam final.
If Tsitsipas wins he will be #1 in the world.

I don't expect that to happen.

I like Djoker in 4 sets.

Hey Bat— I think you’re forgetting about the time in ‘21 that Tsitsipas was up two sets to zero on the Djoker at finals of Roland Garros.

Probably the best match I remember Stefanos playing.

Women's tennis is rubbish.

The grunting, screaming, is trash.

Listen to A. Sabalenka here in the Aussie final.

If I didn't know any better, I'd think these noises were coming from the barnyard.

If I was playing this psycho, I would tell her to stfu, or else.
No joke.

If it continued, and the umpire did not do anything about it, I would proceed to walk over and kick her @ss right there on the court.

Win the match and then collapse down onto the court.
Lay there and sob like a mental patient for 15 seconds.

Then walk back out onto the court and glorify yourself, wave, and posture to the crowd!

The men do this stupid shit, too.

Federer was always rolling around on the court whenever he won a major.
lol

GAY!!

Most all of the players do this now when they win a big one.

And a lot of them have to climb up into the crowd to hug their "team."

Sorry, clowns, but you're just not that important.

You didn't just invent a cure for cancer.

Now, some matches are particularly gripping, intense, and down to the wire.
Like the '08 Wimbledon Men's Final, for example.

Nadal got by Federer 9-7 in the 5th set, fell to the court and rolled in genuine relief and emotion.
That was great stuff!

But 95% of what these clowns do is unnecessary, gay, theatrical bullshit.

Here...

Finish match.
Walk up and shake opponent's hand. Shake umpire's hand.
Maybe give your team, or the crowd, a wave or fist pump.
Smile.
That's it.

A little old skool class -- like Pistol Pete Sampras.

Sorry.
My rant for the day.

Add to that list old schoolers like: Borg, Edberg, Lendl, Graf, Davenport, Kuerten.

No, while she's a drama queen, she's backing it up with great points, and more important her vocalizings are nowhere near as painful--and insane--as those shrieks of Serena (and Venus), as though being fucked by a horse. And again while she is intentionally dramatic, she's not using her grunts and sensual utterences (she's straight, Sloppy, even though you have no idea what that means) to mask the sound of the ball coming off her racket--as was the tactic of the Williams, Sharapova (the worst?) and Seles, the originator of it all.

What round was this?

NoVax wins it!

Takes Tsitsipas down in 3 sets, with tiebreakers in both the 2nd and 3rd sets.

Djoker now moves into a tie with R. Nadal for most majors -- 22.

NoVax is very impressive. Clearly tied for the best of his generation. Deserving of accolades.

Too bad he's a huge piece of shit and not just for his NoVax beliefs.

How is someone who is one of the fittest human beings on the planet a POS for not taking a vax which we all now know won’t stop the spread?

What we do know is that he’s not at risk for serious disease. We also know that the vax has been shown to fukk up some very healthy people.
