Might be better off doing yard work. I can have a crew there by 8am.

Two Roads brewery tour in Stratford, less than a minute off I-95 is a good place to spend an hour or two.

Milford is a nice enough town. Pretty downtown area. Don't know much more about it.

If you want a little more excitement, you could travel a few minutes either direction to Bridgeport or New Haven where there is a fair chance you'll be shot.

Milford is on Long Island Sound, which is mostly nice other than the cities.

Of course, being on LI sound does not necessarily equate to nice.....

Playing in Bridgeport, we were advised to stay elsewhere, hence Milford. We are going to explore downtown and beach area, before this evenings game.

Knocked out of the playoffs so get to vacate this state after nursing my hangover tomorrow morning.

If I wasn't so damn busy this weekend, I'd drive down and buy you a beer. Enjoy your stay in my once awesome state.

And stop at two roads brewery for the 50 cent tour. 10 bucks, actually, a few years ago. Prolly 25 now. FJB!!!!!!

I spent a little bit of time working out of Bridgeport. I can agree with that assessment. I worked at City Hall in the 90s. Across the street were crack houses. Just down the street was the police station. Yeah Bridgeport was a little fucked up.

FP's is supposed to be great. Been meaning to try it, but whenever I've driven by, the place is mobbed. I have been to the one across the street from the mall in Manchester. It is good, but it is not THE Frank Pepe's.

Lived in the SEC for three years (Nashville).

I loved it there, but, there were 2 negatives.

500 mile drive to the beach.

It is an Italian food desert.

Not saying there isn't good italian food to be found. There are places in the city that are good and I am sure that 25 years later, given Nashville's Damn Yankee* infestation, I am sure you can find a good pie in Smyrna or Franklin.

But 25 years ago, pulling into a pizza joint in the area was a bad idea. We did it once on a Sunday drive in Fairview. What was passed off as a pizza was literally the worst pizza I have ever had. And I had many public school cafeteria pizzas in my youth, military chow hall pizzas, really bad frozen pizzas.

* Damn Yankee-a pejorative term used by southerners to describe yankees who come there and stay. Visitors are simply Yankees.
