The President and governors are correct to let local officials handle their response. What is correct for NYC is not what is best for Angel Fire New Mexico. What is best for Harris county isn’t what is best for King county and it’s population density of .3 people per sq mile.

Not much, but it points out their hypocrisy. They want to do their own thing and go above and beyond when it comes to things like Global Warming and Living Wages, because the federal government isn't going far enough. But now they are crying and whining that Trillions of Federal dollars are not going far enough.
No one prevented either state from declaring an emergency earlier? No one prevented them from enacting social distancing in Feb. No one said they couldn't stockpile masks or ventilators when this first broke in Milan. Just saying...

And lefty, don't forget that since 2011 when governor Cuomo took office, he's literally wasted millions upon millions of dollars on total bullshit. Money that could've easily went towards essential items desperately needed now.

Certain Cali posters like to brag about being the X largest economy in the world, implying they don't need the rest of the US.
Covid19 proves that's bullshit. They can't go it alone. They do need the rest of the states. But if they want to keep bleating about being X largest economy they can leave the union.

I'd say that it's a little more complicated than that. In spite of being the "X" largest economy in the world, CA also contributes more $$ and resources to the common good of the US than any other state. Nobody ever claimed seriously that CA could get by on our own, especially when you take into account the amount of resources leaving the state. We deserve as much consideration as any other state when it comes to emergency support from the Federal Government. Anybody claiming otherwise should take their collective heads out of Orange Anus.
