The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection early Tuesday after decades of sexual abuse claims within one of the country's largest youth organizations.

The petition, filed in Delaware bankruptcy court, halts the hundreds of lawsuits the BSA is facing that allege sexual misconduct by people within the 110-year-old organization over the years.

Sexual abuse settlements had reportedly strained the Boy Scouts' finances, with states passing laws last year so victims from long-ago abuse can sue for damages.







What's your take on this?

Do you think there been a recent (last couple decades-or-so) explosion of untoward behavior on the part of Boy Scout leaders?

Or do you think the number of instances of inappropriate behavior has been about the same as always, but that in past eras such behavior was sort of just swept under the rug, for one reason or another?

Are there more sick freaks acting things out now?
If you think so, then what is your theory as to why sick freaks are acting out more now than in times past?

My response is based on pure logic and reasoning.

This is homosexuality.
So right off the bat, we've got a certain segment of the population to scrutinize, even though, the mainstream press WILL NOT.

Same thing with the catholic church. The VAST majority are homosexuals. The mainstream press won't report this fact.

Finally, a MUCH larger entity, our government control secular schools from coast to coast have hundreds of thousands of cases, of sexual deviant teachers, counselors, coaches, administrators, etc. etc...who prey on our students.
The non-religious left wing government control school system is MUCH LARGER than the church or the boy scouts.
With cases of sexual abuse going back decades.
YET the lying left wing press and media won't focus on this juggernaut, because it's SECULAR and not faith based.
To be fair, in the secular world, the sexual abuse tends to be both homo and hetero.
Whereas in the religious institutions, the vast majority tends to be homosexual.

Not a day goes by without some coach or teacher or someone in authority, preying on our children.
IN SECULAR GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS.

Let that reality just sink in. And serve as another stark reminder of the false narratives of our left wing news media the press and academia.

I have been a Scout Leader for about 7 years. They have really done a good job to put safeguards in place to address the molestation issues.

I think the real problem these days is reduced participation. Between organized sports, xbox and smart phones, kids have a lot of other options.

The gay Scouts or girls pushing their way in didn't help matters, but it isn't the problem.
