You're not very good at geography, are you ?

Santa Cruz is 45 minutes from San Francisco. Note the San Francisco TV station reporting.

Santa Cruz is Northern California NOT Central California.

Very good points. And I'd also add that when the catastrophic "Big One" hits, which science has long held to be an absolute certainty, California will go back to being a Red state, thus assuring the trump dynasty for the next half century, starting with Don Jr. Then Ivanka, and then Baron.
Stay tuned.

Hey. Nobody forces you to live in an area that "science" says will disappear into the ocean.
Unless of course, you're one of those cult like science deniers.

Only someone who has never looked at a map would call that yellow area Northern Cali, vs Central Cali.

Then again this is way down the scale of f’ed up things in Cali.

Nocal (at least coastal) is everything from Big Sur north. Kinda like you can be East of the Mississippi and still be in the Midwest.

I always thought of eventhing between SF and maybe Santa Barbara as central. SC is almost dead center between Oregon line and TJ.

LoCal is SD
SoCal is up to Santa Barbara
And as I said NoCal is from Big Sur north

By geographic standards, which is what you are accusing him at being bad at, assuming there is a north/central/south, that place is undoubtedly in the center section.

If you want to accuse him at being bad at local jargon, you might be right, but, I suspect not.

It happened in Monterey, a long time ago....
I met her in Monterey, in old Mexico.
Stars and steel guitars
And luscious lips, as red as wine.
Broke somebody's heart and I'm afraid it was mine.
It happened in Monterey
Without thinking twice.
I left her and threw away the key to paradise.
My indiscreet heart, longs for the sweetheart.
That I left in old Monterey.

Back when California was great.
And you could actually leave your heart in San Francisco.

Today?
With left wing extremists in charge? Like that freak Gavin Newsom?
Reagan is turning over in his grave at this joke of a former mayor turned governor.
Gavin isn't fit to polish Reagan's knob even.

Wiki says SC county is "central coast". Everything north of it is NoCal. That seems pretty logical and makes Mikey right.

And while you are both Cali socialist scumbags, Mikey is generally thought of as being reasonably intelligent, so long as we stay away from politics.

Your dumbfukkery, on the other hand is all encompassing.

It's simply astonishing how fucking stupid you are. No really, it's fucking mind-boggling.

Hey, shit for brains... take a close look at the map you said proves that Santa Cruz isn't in Northern California.

You see that county that says Santa Clara that borders Santa Cruz ??? That's where the 49ers play.

You see that county that says Alameda and borders Santa Clara ??? That's where the Oakland Raiders played.

So you're telling everyone on this board that the 49ers and Raiders play in Central California ???

You and suckaholic have stupidity that's off the charts !

I don't pretend to be from California, but two things are certain.

Reagan was it's best governor.
And Alameda, San Mateo, and most of Santa Clara are due north of Santa Cruz.

So one could easily make the case that Santa Cruz sits dead center geographically speaking of course.

Unless you like to argue just for argument's sake of course.

Being from New York,
Saying that Santa Cruz is northern California would be like saying Albany was northern New York.

Clearly, Albany sits dead center.
Kinda like Santa Cruz sits dead center.

I'm sure people in Eureka would laugh at the notion of Santa Cruz being northern California, just like people in Lake Placid would laugh at the notion of Albany being northern New York State.

Like people who remember when Reagan was their governor, who now laugh at Gavin Newsom.

Laughter is the best medicine when surrounded by left wing socialists.

If you were actually from New York you’d know that Albany is “upstate.”

But you’re not. Is Moscow considered “northern Russia?“

I guess it’s about as well defined as Northern, Central and Southern California. Probably depends on where you’re from and where you are. But I’ve heard that anything north of Poughkeepsie (pick your nose much?) is upstate.

Albany, along with the ENTIRE state of New York, is considered "upstate" by people who live in New York city.

And yes, I'm a Sophisticated New Yorker.
You're just a rabble rouser.

My point was that Albany, like Santa Cruz, sits geographically in the middle.
And people in Lake Placid would laugh at Albany being called "northern N.Y."

Just like people in Eureka would laugh at Santa Cruz being called "northern" California.

Does that sound preposterous to you?

Take a look at the map. Imagine a point equidistant from the Oregon line and the Mexican border.

Where is it?

To my admittedly uncalibrated eye, I would say that point is roughly Santa Cruz. Let's say it is a bit south of that, Big Sur, your apparent Mason Dixon line for Cali.

If that is the case, then it would seem to me that a place described by the name Central Coast, would cover territory to the north and south of BS. I will stick with my original statement of SF and SB being pretty good borders.

Of course you will stick with your self-defined rules and boast how everyone that doesn't abide by them is a fukking moron, because that is what pathetic pieces of shit do, in an attempt to make themselves feel better about themselves.

It really must suck being you. It's unfortunate that your parents didn't practice better birf control.

As to your (or whomever it was') point that Ohio is called the midwest, when it clearly isn't, geographically speaking, the term dates back to a time when the Mississippi River was the western frontier. In that day, Ohio was in the "midwest".

Cali, to my knowledge, is different. When Cali was admitted to the union, it was in its current geographical form. Norcal was Norcal, in 1849. Cencal was Cencal and Socal was Socal.
