The patriot act isn't supposed to be used on citizens.
Only on non-citizens.

When James Comey lied to a federal judge in order to get surveillance on Carter page, he was committing a serious felony.
And he repeated that felony multiple times, knowing full well that it was indeed against the law.

Only citizens have constitutional rights.

Now, left wing lawyers have successfully argued otherwise, affording non-citizens the same constitutional rights that we citizens enjoy.

However, I'm of the opinion that this is bullshit.

Also, the FBI has been successful in applying the patriot act to gain surveillance on American citizens.

I'm of the opinion that unless they have probable cause, they shouldn't get squat.

As the DOJ will prove, James Comey did NOT have probable cause, and in fact knowingly lied to and deceived a federal judge, multiple times.

I was for the Patriot Act.

In the world we live in today, our government needs every tool to rooting out shitbags where ever they are. Be they citizens or not.

But those against it said, no fukking way, the government will abuse this privilege.

Looks like they were right. Our government can't be trusted.

So, the question now is, what should be done about it?

I think the Patriot Act is worth salvaging, IF our government can prove that when it is abused, especially for political purposes, it will drop the hammer on those involved.
