Post by Cuda »

Perfect for hot summer weather

Mandatory ingreedients:

1 lb large shrimp, cooked, deveined & shelled

1/2 lb penne' pasta (yes, cooked)

Shredded Parmesan Cheese (about a handfull)

Small package Sweet Basil

Variable ingredients: adjust to individual taste

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Garlic Cloves ( I use a lot)
Onion (I use a little)
Garlic Salt
Fresh Ground Pepper
Red Wine Vinegar (just a dash or 2)

Put basil leaves, garlic & onion in food processor & chop into little, bitty pieces

Combine shrimp & pasta in huge bowl, dump on olive oil, dash of vinegar, chopped basil/garlic/onion, shredded cheese, garlic salt & ground pepper. Mix well.

Serve cold with plenty of beer or other alcohol of choice

Sounds great, especially now that the temperature has reached just a tad below hell here and it's only May 21.

I'll be trying that one out soon.

dropping in to rack cuda and
mention that i made this for someone that i love last night.

i'm not into seafood at all.
never have been, don't eat it, have no idea how to cook it.

rack this recipe that made me look like i had a clue as to what to do with the damn shrimp!

so, in summary - this worked out well for me.
thanks, btw.

decent simple recipe that i will definitely use again.

Dumb question (?)

Is the pasta 1/2 lb before or after cooking?
I assume it's before cooking.
(It can make a big difference)
