I don't have special knowledge of the situation there.

I do have a friend from China (now living in New Zealand), and I have talked to him about what goes on in China.
We talked specifically about the draconian Covid measures that were in place.
I asked hm why they were doing that.

He said it had a lot more to do with the government trying to control the people, rather than them sincerely trying to stop the virus from spreading.

But just recently China did a 180 and abruptly opened things up.
I don't know why.

And now the reports are that the virus is spreading like wild fire.

Many countries (including Korea) are now requiring passengers flying IN from China to show a negative Covid test result upon arrival.

The situation will be -----> DEVELOPING <----- in the coming weeks.
