He is an authoritarian shitstain. He is 2nd or third worst in my lifetime, but I’m gauging him on his competence too which you must have left out of the equation. If I was a greedy vile shit I would probably have him near the top also. As of now I’m in Tulsi’s camp. You can come at her if you want.

M. Williamson: wingnut
J. Hickenlooper: over his head and needs a toothbrush
A. Yang: fuzzy math
P. Buttigieg: overrated
J. Biden: skeletor
B.Sanders: woofing dog
K. Harris: unhinged
K. Gillibrand: a child
M. Bennet: born in New Delhi
E. Swalwell: Greg Marmalard
Pretty dismal lineup.

His paln is to give every adult $1,000 a month.
Cost, according to the man asking the question, would be 3.2 trillion a year.
How do you pay for it?
Yang says...
A VAT half of European level would generate over 800 billion in new revenue.
This would in-turn create millions of new jobs.
It would make the nation healthier (literally, he claims) -- so we would save money on incarceration, emergency room service, homeless services, etc.
Then this overall healthier populace would lead to an increase of our GDP by 700 billion dollars.
The 700 billion sounds like a hopeful fairy tale.
I'm not sure about the 800 billion, either.
Even if we give him the benefit of the doubt, he is still short by well over 1 trillion dollars.
But, I have no doubt there is more to the paln, and I am just not understanding it all.
lol
Yeah, okay.

So a European VAT and $500/mo.

What problem did five hundred bones solve? I must be missing something. Is that supposed to be a significant amount?

What you are missing is brain activity.
It’s your monthly car payment every month and the electricity bill every month and $50 a week for food.
Or it’s a three dollar and hr raise for every person working or not.
So yes it’s significant.

It is definitely significant.
For poor folk, $1,000 (or even half that) every month changes their world around.
I question the overall math, as well as the ramifications of his concept.
I also question if it is even constitutional on a national level.
I do give Yang some credit, though, and am glad he is on the stage.
America is in trouble.
Things are clearly not working in the present dynamic and it is good (imo) to have someone up there who is willing to float ideas and be willing to think outside the box.

I'd concede that a grand a month is significant money for people living near the poverty line and for seniors on a fixed income. However, in terms of universal income, $1000 a month is carrying-around cash for middle class and up. The question is, if social security is soon to go bust, where do they expect to find billions of dollars lying around to throw at people? I'm certain that if this idea were to gain traction, the first order of business would be to means test the recipients. Then it'd just be one more entitlement for a particular class of people, negating the whole "universal" aspect of it.
I remain unconvinced.

No middle class person has 1,000 carry cash.
Learn to read, the $ comes from the VAT now that we only have a few companies and most mom and pop stores are dead it’s a whole different world. Alaska saw the future years ago and they still don’t means test. So go fuck yourself you stupid twat.

I think defense spending is completely out of control and unwarranted. I would cancel 2/3 of the spending if they gave me the pen. I've said that a lot in here. Again, you post without any knowledge about what you post. It's your thing. Keep Moving Sale-ing along.

I like Warren, she is by far the best candidate in the field who would actually benefit US citizens rather than corporate and wealthy interests such as banks. She is the only one who has proven herself willing to take on these said banks, which are scared shitless of her. Unfortunately she is also a woman so she will be demonized as shrill and cast aside by our female phobic electoral base.

Liz and Tulsi less so.
United States presidential line of succession
Vice President - Mike Pence
Speaker of the House - Nancy Pelosi
President pro tempore of the Senate - Chuck Grassley
etc.

It has zero to do with being a woman and everything to do with her bat shit crazy takes. Start with Pocahontas, then look at her plan to eliminate Puerto Rico’s debt, then chew on her desire to end private health insurance.
Those alone make her a joke of a candidate. No surprise you are all in with her.

This should scare you as well Screwy. Any confiscation of money is a huge red flag. It will drive tons of money outside of the US. Further this is money that has already been taxed. Look no further than Apple who has kept billions out of the US economy and tax rolls. It wouldn't be that difficult for average US citizens to start moving their holdings overseas as well.
