I’m not going to argue that that it’s not more expensive here, but a lot of that depends on how and where you spend your money. I don’t get very many fast food meals or bottles of water or Coke. I don’t buy any cigarettes or gasoline or cappuccinos. Very few taxi rides.

There are a few things that were left out completely, though. Like how much does it cost to spend a day at the beach. Or buy fresh local produce in the middle of winter. I can get tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, etc, picked the same morning 365 days a year. Stuff like that. I have so many oranges, lemons and tangelos on my trees right now that I’m going to start taking some to the food bank.
