If the guys down at the united brotherhood of egotistical shitstains, local 1038 catch wind of this, you might get runned.

One more question.

Why?

Did somebody jump over to the NL to balance it?

Maybe to generate some level of rivalry with the Rangers?

Selig had the Brewers moved to the NL in '98 after the last expansion (Rays and Diamondbacks) in order to keep an even number of teams in each league so that you didn't have an AL team playing and NL team every day. This was back when interleague play was fairly new and the two leagues would play against each other for a week twice a season. It created a lot of buzz, interest, increased attendance and was a ratings spike with that format. Once the interest died down of this format, Selig looked for the most opportunistic time to rebalance the leagues.

Enter the sell of the Houston Astros. Selig convinced the owners not to approve the sell of the Astros to Jim Crane unless he agreed to move the team to the AL. Major League Baseball and the owners did sweeten the deal by absorbing $70million of the sell price to sway any inclination of Crane taking MLB to court. Crane was purchasing the team on mostly credit, so he was happy to see the price drop from $680m to $610 by just agreeing to move the team to the AL West.

So, Houston is in the AL and Milwaukee is in the NL.

See, this is why we should never go easy on the little people. Cut them just the least little slack, try and go easy on them, and they get all uppity.

Nope, just calling out a foul-waxed-shriveled ball when it misses the plate.

Keep swinging though, you silly old coot.

Perhaps to respond with a IKYABWAI KC riff, one should actually understand the concept.

Major fail here Gobbles. Wanna' try again, with actual humor and creativity?

"I am Goober, here me roar,
'cause I'm so old you ignore, that I am senile and I'm too old too pretend,
That I'm relevant and still sane, though I'm water-logged in my brain,
and I'll die in shit smeared Pampers in my end."

Your move you waxed old nasty nut sack Last Word Whore.

Let's get this thread back on track shall we?

I really thought the Astros best chance to steal one in KC was last night. McHugh is better than Ventura and the Astros needed that first inning to pretty much chase the Royals in game 1.

Today, however, is a different story. Kazmir has pitched life absolute dog shit for nearly two months and the 'Stros haven't faired will against Cueto. Advantage KC in this one, but I'm hopeful Kaz shows up to his April-July self again. We'll see.

Huge win in the swing game today. Keuchel was far from his best, but he was just good enough. Gutsy performance by the crafty lefthander as per usualum. The bullpen has been pretty solid in it's first four games, so that's somewhat surprising.

The rook McCullers week be pitching the game of his brief life tomorrow. It's gonna be great.

Great explanation, but it's fucking "sale," for chrissake.

But that was a pretty sweet move by Selig to move the team he owned from the least profitable/lowest attendance division to the highest.

Yeah, it's that new kind, where the instructions say "scoop up a bit with the end of your key and snort as needed."

Congrats to Royals fan. Y'all are clearly the superior team with the more balanced lineup and that bullpen. Looks like Johnny got hot for you at the right time. Beat those shitty Canadians.

Coincidence or not but when KC beat St. Louis in the 1985 WS, they had to beat Toronto in the ALCS to get there.

Nothing against Canucks, but I detest having to endure their national anthem being played in our ballpark.

Oh well... may the best team win.

Well I guess I'm baseball troll. I heard your new sig on a radio show and posted it. I don't like baseball or know anything about it. I did follow because of the drama, but posted elsewhere - what was going on wasn't healthy, here at least. I can deal with Leaf fans or Jays fans, just not both at the same time, the pubs are safe again :bode:

Good luck Kansas, beat those classless New Yorkians.

And why do you play the national anthem in the middle of every game? Does every team do this? It smacks of insecurity. The mayor of Kansas seemed cool on television.

The poll has been corrected on the Sun’s website, but not before votes at some point were tabulated and seen by MLB.com/Baseball America columnist Tracy Ringolsby: Interesting poll in Toronto Sun. Readers asked to vote whether Jays would win 2 games in KC, going 1-1 or lose 2 games. 13% said lose 2.

Yikesadoodle. That’s 13 percent who don’t know how many victories are needed to win the American League Championship Series. That’s a lot.

Looks like a lot of pissed Canucks about the Home Run call too......http://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-co ... 70787.html

Royals back to WS, Canada pissed and a new sig thanks to Phibes = lots of win
Reminds me of that play last week where Gronk was wide open along the sideline and would have had a sure catch were it not for that drunk chowd that reached over the rail and tipped it away. Wait, no it doesn't, because in the NFL and most every other sport, fans are kept back away from the field of play where they can not interfere with a play. When will baseball wake the fukk up and make a few minor changes to ballparks to keep dumb shit like this from happening? I guess the answer is never, because controversy=interest and interest=$$$.

One other question. When the fukk did Amish kids start attending baseball games? Can't they go to hell for stuff like that?
