I'm making a cheese platter for the service, but I'm still looking for one of those big, banquet sized coffee percolators.

Non-denominational. Unwrapped children's toys or canned, non-perishable food items.

We are going to hug this out, chums.

I don't quite get the obscure reference... was/is Van an AA attendee?

Bunn coffee makers rule, btw.

You heartless, sadistic bastard. Have you no Pride and Joy?

This is what you get for such insensitivity. You asked for it.

It got ugly towards the end... (sup, Van)

AP, was calling him daily while he was in the hospital asking if he could have his back... with the panty pics or something.

I think the FBI got involved... and that is why you haven't seen much from Van or AP over the last year.

The last I heard about this was a couple of weeks ago...

Cross your fingers...

Don't have that Bunn. I do have the Bunn My Cafe. Next time your POS keurig breaks (and it will), get the Bunn. Unlike the Keurig, you can actually service it.

And to you coffee snobs, yes, I know, they suck. A french press makes better coffee, but, the damn convenience is nice.

Never heard of those, so I looked it up on Amazon.

$250 for a single cup coffee maker?
Talk about coffee snobs, never took you for being one of the elite.

I've been using my 12 cup Cuisinart (about $80 from Costco) for years with no problems.
(I do grind my own beans, though).

Sure they do. If you don't know how to work a $30 French press.

I did have a Bunn way back when. Used to only break it out when I hosted fantasy football drafts, till I realized keeping them cafinated in the late rounds instead of pouring liquor was not the best draft day stratagy.

I got a decent kettle and a French press and never looked back.

mikey,

the OL bought the bunn on feebay for about 40 bucks, NIB. excellent machine. we bought it after doing a little research after the pos keurig shit the bed.

as much as i hate to admit it, goobs makes sense with his french press mention. very easy, very simple. not really much more work than the keurig/bunn/whatever single serve dealios.

"Van" not only had horrible taste in music, but he was a grotesquely weaseling slimeball who proposed (exactly in the voice of fakeseat) that America's assault on the nation of Vietnam was not only justified...but could have been "won"..that is, he was a disgusting default of a man. And yes, I enjoined him for years in honest discourse. But no, you can't be a lying coward and expect to be honestly appreciated. Your lies will follow you down.

and not just the kind of cancer that blindsides you and kills you in two weeks. he deserves the kind that goes into remission a few times and then kills him.

Oh, don't get me wrong, he was an amiable enough guy who would dispense mild pleasantries and soft bromides. But the fact of staunchly defending America's invasion and destruction of Vietnam--and insisting that we could have won it "if we really wanted to" and so forth is simply unforgivable on several levels. I suppose the sheer stupidity of such a shallow and uninformed opinion is tolerable to an extent, but the actual conviction and belief in the act itself is not. Plus, his taste in guitar players was an insult to all who actually play. Oh well, I hope he didn't suffer.

I disagreed with the poster called Van on his musical tastes, but understood why he liked that stuff. He was entitled to his opinion and that is fine with me. He never attacked anyone personally, but was always up for a good fight. My theory is he hooked up with that fat black bitch called Annie/IB and got sat on and suffocated to escape cancer. Hurrrrumph!
