However, standing in this game always have been based on pct., haven't they?

Three weekly picks aren't mandatory anymore, but you must make on average of 1.5 picks per week (or 25.5 total) in order to qualify for the end of season rankings

Ask yourself, who would not pick three games every week if the things is a race to accumulate the most wins, period?
And who would say, "Ahhh, know what? I'm just going to pick 26 games for the season," even though a whole host of other players are picking 51?

This is the smartest and simplest solution. Either that, or wipe the slate clean for everybody and re-start the contest effective Week 3 if you are so dead-set on scoring based on win totals.

Orrrrr, just keep running this thing on the fly. That might be more entertaining than the actual contest.
