88, in all sincerity, my best wishes to your mom and for her recovery. My 84 y.o. mom recently broke her ankle and I fear her mobility will suffer greatly from this point forward, so I can empathize. As for the homeless woman, while you may not affect her long term situation, a call to the police about her welfare and/or a gift card for some items that she wants or needs is a wonderful gesture.

Nice Christian thoughts 88. Rack you. I know you don't think of it that way, but that's the type of caring that Jesus himself talked about a couple of millennia ago, not taxing people, funneling money through a bureaucracy, and having some of it get to the poor.
It's sad that some people end up that way. You wonder where their family is. Then again we have a ~~well off~~ millionaire POTUS with relatives that live in a hut.

I think when I hit 70, I will move to a ranch style house, no basement. Fukk stairs. They hate old people.

A few months back my best friend's 83 year old pop took a dive down the stairs of his condo. He laid at the bottom of the stairs paralyzed with a broken neck for about 8 hours before someone found him. He spent a few weeks in the hospital while they assessed his condition. The prognosis was he would be a quadraplegic (pray for him) for the rest of his days and on a respirator. He said fukk that and told them to shut it down. I will miss him. He really was a good dude. Never saw him without a smile, 'cept for when his son Jay was doing some stupid shit which he was rather prone to in his early years.

I've surely never tried to prove God to you -- and have never sold that such proof (as we have defined it) exists.

It's clear that God has done things the way He has done so that people are required to demonstrate their faith.

Now I will just relay personal testimony to you that when I did demonstrate that faith, He showed Himself -- and so it continues to this very day.

But now you've moved the goal post from evidence to proof.

You are keenly aware of the difference between the two, and I would assert that if a person's take is that there is no evidence of the existence of God (of the Bile), they have not either not even begun to look objectively or they are in deep denial.

Regarding the passage I cited for you (and others) to view -- Romans 1:18-32, that is God's response to your original statement in the thread about questioning His existence.

Exhibit A) Bob: Bob is a terrible man. He has lived a life of reprehensible behavior without remorse. Rape, murder, theft, you name it. Bob lives his life out in prison, and as the time of his sentenced death approaches, Bob asks God for forgiveness of his sins and accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior. Bob goes to Heaven.

Exhibit B) Fred: Fred is a kind man and a genuinely good human being. He's lived a life of philanthropy and general do-goodery. He has always cared more for others than himself and has done much for the less fortunate. But Fred is skeptical of the existence of God and does not accept Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior. Fred goes to Hell.

No so-called benevolent God would allow these scenarios to occur. I mean, what kind of sick, demented, insecure asshole casts a good man into an eternal pit of fire because he didn't worship you? Have you ever stopped to think for a second how fucked up that is? And you're on board with this? Then you're just as sick, imo.

Each and every one of you twisted fucks should be locked in an insane asylum.

Nah, God is still omnipotent, (that is, if he/she/it exists) the problem is that whole "free will" thingie. The clusterfuck is a result of it. Good and evil are just the guest players. The rest is a stage for us to act out this play of life, for better or worse. It's all about choices and repercussions. Karma and shit.

The confusion about God that most people don't get is that "WE" are all god. God is us. So, with that said, do "we" even exist? Are we all just some micro universe in the fingernail of some other giant being?
