The National - Trouble Will Find Me

Post by MgoBlue-LightSpecial »

This is the band all the kool kids are listening to these days. After much hype, I decided to give it a spin. I give it just 6 Screwy's out of 10. Not horrible just kinda boring. I haven't listened to much of their other stuff to know how it compares. I do enjoy this tune though.

Is the Screwy rating based on an ascending or descending scale?

I'll assume you meant the former thus I give it 3 Screwey's.

For comparison sake, Foster The People - Funked Up Kids gets a 6.

You are truly one of the worst pieces of shit to ever post on this board. Start giving up your paycheck for reparations now and then you can shut the fuck up about your racist blasts.

It could be Funked up Jizz Mopping for all I care, it still gets a 6.

Not as good as any of their previous albums but still a solid band. Difficult to listen to a lot of their stuff consecutively but flavor it in with some Black Keys and Alabama Shakes and you've got yourself a good indie mix.

One of their best songs, paired perfectly with a great movie:

Exactly.

Spot on. I think the audio is weird on that Warrior clip. To be fair, I usually listen to these cats on vinyl.

ps: i think the cool kids stopped listening to The National a couple of years ago... last gig, all i saw was old farts like myself.
