popular movies you've never seen...

Post by MgoBlue-LightSpecial »

...that people give you shit for.

I've never seen a single James Bond movie.
I've never seen a single Indiana Jones movie from start to finish.
I've never seen a single Star Trek movie or TV episode (I have no qualms with this one).
I don't recall if I've ever seen a single Die Hard movie, and if I have, I don't remember a damn thing from it.

Go.

So i'm led to believe that you "Three Amigos" {MGO, Marti, Screwie} have seen Brokeback? Did you each watch it alone, or were you in each others company?

Tell us about it. How was it? Did you enjoy it?

you should omit the movies but include the original episodes.

But knowing that's not how the younger generation rolls, and while you're not that young, you probably like The Hunger Games... wait, that'd be Screw.

No, you're the guy who has never read page one of The Hobbit or LOTR but think those movies suck as well.

He said popular movies, Tardd. Gay cowboys eating pudding...and dicks isn't much of a box office draw for me or most everyone else in the 'more or less normal' band of the sexual deviance spectrum.

I assume it worked for you, though, or were there not enough song and dance numbers?

It is a popular movie. Wasn't it up for Best Picture at the Academy Awards?

And If you had taken the time to read the previous replies you would have read to where I said that I haven't seen it. I don't think I will either.

I admit I was a little uncomfortable around someone I work with who claimed that they saw it. This guy is going through a divorce due to his latching onto this hot latina with massive hooters. Anyway, he brought up the subject of the movie once. I immediately stated that I haven't seen it and will not see it.

I'm of the opinion of Ernie Borgnine on this one. Don't care to see it.

Hadn't seen one either til Daniel Craig started playing 007. Saw a few of the Connery ones since then.

I haven't yet, but I have some in my Netflix queue.
Never seen a Fast And Furious movie.
Nor have I. Never seen any movie with Vin Diesel.
I haven't seen Brokeback Mountain
Me either, but I read the short story.
Never seen a second of any Lord of the Rings movies.
Fell asleep during the only one I went to see.

I'm that guy. Never read any Tolkien.
Gone With the Wind
Casablanca (actually quite a few of the old "classics")
Same here.

My list of never seen flicks would include most of the "classic" & not-so-classic horror films since the '70s, like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Child's Play, Saw, etc. Also never saw any Rambo or Terminator movies.

There's a shitload of popular movies I've never seen.

I don't do cineplex anymore. Last movie I saw was "Chicago" when MrsO dragged me there because she wanted to see it. Hate watching a half hour of trailers with the sound set at 11. Movies today seem all phony CGI action and very little story. No mas.

Many are, but there are some exceptions. One would be "Mud," sort of a small budget indie flick w/ Matthew McConaughey & Reese Witherspoon. Been out for about a month, not in wide release. Hadn't even heard of it until this weekend, and I go to a fair amount of movies so am usually aware of what's out & what's coming soon via the trailers you dislike. Found it to be a very good flick with a decent story, good acting, and no CGI. Would recommend it for you & the Mrs.

You're overdue then, don't know what you've missed. But it's never too late. Tolkien, for any avid reader, is a marvelous joy that never gets old.

I'd suggest you start with The Hobbit and then 'graduate' to the LOTR's trilogy.

Forget the movies if you haven't read the books. They'll be as despicable as The Hunger Games. But having read the books, you realize the movies are quite well done. I can't imagine anyone older than 25 liking those movies if they haven't read the books. This coming from a guy who has pretty much hated every movie ever based on a great book because of necessity they can't convey the whole story.

Might as well. Smoke a bowl or several, grab a bucket of chicken and look at the pretty pictures for a awhile. The story is pretty insipid but it looks nice.

Lots of 'em I haven't seen. Lots of recent popular movies

Forrest Gump
Jurasic Park
any Batman movie
LOTR

And I have never sat through an entire movie with Julia Roberts as an actress. Not even Mystic Pizza, which I was right next to while it was being filmed back in the summer of '87.

I've only seen one Meryl Streep movie- The Deer Hunter

I've never seen a Sean Penn movie

Shit....there's lots of 'em that I ain't seen.

Me too, at least in the sense that "popular movies" relates to the over 15 crowd.

About the only time I see a movie is when it's something the kids want to see. Being old guy with young kids has a tendency to do that to you.

Last movie I saw because I wanted to see it? Lincoln. Last movie before that in that category? No way in hell I'd remember.

watched Django last night. While a little, ok, a lot over the top with gratuitous killing towards the end (reminded me of Scarface) a well done movie on an interesting premise.

While I didn't question the authenticity, I did the historical accuracy. But who cares about that?

Being a Quentin Tarentino film, I was expecting another Pulp Fiction and it didn't disappoint.
