That's right. Dress up your toddler like a squirrel, take him to the park and don't keep an eye on him.

Could have been a "2012 Chuck D Champion"...

Golden Eagles are bad ass!

Damn good thing that kid wasn't 3 lbs lighter or it would be eagle shit by now.

Complete bullshit set up. The bird behavior is very typical of a raptor that is trained, particularly with the flat approach the bird makes. He flys a down wind leg, turns a short base then, a flat final. Most would circle multiple times before they did that, and wild interactions seldom would have that kind of a flight profile. Most wild birds will not attack with that many people around, and with the trees in close like that. The "kid" never moves while the bird is setting up, and then the camera comes off the "kid" until they get over there. Plus the kid is just way too heavy for the bird anyway.

I was into falconry for a while, and worked with some dudes and these bigger raptors.

Rack YouTube fakes for getting over on you guys.

How in the fuck would you fake that, moron?

There is one other thing that is a bit odd.

When camera dude gets to the kid, he is still on the ground and he's not crying as you expect a kid that just got dropped 3 ft or so would be. If that were my kid and OL, I can damn well guarantee he'd be in her arms well before I waddled my ass over there.

So, I went back and looked closely at the video to see if you could tell whether or not it was definitely the kid and not a sack of rocks. It sure the fukk does appear to be a kid and you can see legs flapping around shortly after liftoff.

If it was staged and the stager used a real live kid as a prop, he really, really, really needs a beating.

Real fucking easy to do, if your trying to get over on fucking tools like yourself. Ever heard of these birds being trained to do that shit ? It has only been around for a few thousand years.

The video starts off on the eagle, stays on the eagle the whole time. The view of the kid drops completely for 11 seconds, then comes back on him and he is not crying. I don't think so. Who ever is doing the video says shit one time. Most people would freak out if this were actually true. By starting the video on the eagle, it is the subject of the video from the start. Most people have no awareness of what is in the sky above them when filming their precious little child.

Going with Derron here -- raptors drop in, they don't come in flat.

Faaaaaaake.

Not sure about eagles, but I've seen Cooper's Hawks and Red Tail Hawks come in on a horizontal approach and pick squirrels off tree branches.

From tree branches, sure.

On the ground?

Not saying they won't, just not in the dozens upon dozens of times I've seen bald eagles, osprey, and redtails pick off prey... which I'm sure I'll see happen... today.

He's very clearly crying. Turn up your volume or dig the wax out of your ears.
Derron wrote:Ever heard of these birds being trained to do that shit ?
Have I ever heard of people training eagles in a public park to pick up babies and drop them on the ground? No, I haven't. That sounds a lot more far-fetched than an eagle mistaking that kid for prey. It's rare, not impossible.

I like the way the "trainers" "trained" the eagle not to dig it's talon's into the child's skull, or instinctively snap his neck to subdue it's "prey".

RACK

Work PC, with practically no volume. The instant I saw the kid face, he didn't appear to be crying.

Derron, I owe you an apology. Never again will I question your expansive knowledge of falconry.

No apology needed, since I can understand how easy it is for you to be fooled.

Not an expansive knowledge of falconry, but enough to know. If you have ever been bitten or footed by one of those birds, you know there is no way that kid is not hurt bad with those talons sunk into it.

Rack You Tube fakes.

Hmmm...I think you're onto something.

REAL articles usually drop in...this one came in flat.
