I'll start.

I drink because:
-I'm generally uncreative and can't think of anything better to do
-I'm generally antisocial and can't think of anyone I'd rather spend my time with than Busch.
-beer and park steaks are deece.
-helps me understand bbq jones posts.
-my wife hates it when I'm drunk and she's trying to have a relationship discussion.

I usually drink:
-wine because the wife is drinking it and I can't talk to her otherwise
-beer because my dad is drinking it and I can't talk to him otherwise
-kool-aid/vodka because the neighbor's 17 year old daughter is drinking it and I can't get into her pants otherwise.

I'ma thinking Badfish has his little bottle of help with him to calm down those pesky shakes and stuff. The days getting on and after a couple more big swigs and an Altoid he should be good to go for rush hour.

Who says I'm not a raging alcoholic? I'm not... I'm a drunk. Alcoholics go to meetings. I just call people in the morning and apologize for my actions.

I'm just not a sniveling pussy about it. I take my kidney stones like a man, and pray my liver holds up until DMike dies. Then I get his!

My kids are hard core Jack and Coke Drinkers, the wife is hooked on those cool boxes of wine and I chase Buds with Cazadores. I have some great stories about the folks and their falling down situations that you would enjoy.

Exactly. RACK!

Look on the brightside, Badfish. I'm going to venture to say that most fuckers in here could considered an alcoholic if you go by this test. I sure as hell would be.
1. Have you ever decided to stop drinking for a week or so, but lasted only a couple of days?

Yes

2. Do you wish people would stop nagging you about your drinking?

Nobody really nags. I live in South Louisiana. We're all drunks here!

3. Have you ever switched from one kind of drink to another hoping that would keep you from getting drunk?

I've switched from one kind of drink to another to get me drunker. Does that count?

4. Have you had a drink in the morning during the past year?

If you wake up at 2pm and crack a beer, is that considered the morning?

5. Do you envy people who can drink without getting into trouble?

No.

6. Have you had problems connected with drinking during the past year?

2.5 years DUI-free!

7. Has your drinking caused you trouble at home?

Once upon a time. Good thing I dumped that bitch.

8. Do you ever try to get extra drinks at a party because you did not get enough to drink?

Don't really understand this one, but in 15 years of drinking I'm sure its possible.

9. Do you tell yourself you can stop drinking any time you want, even though you keep getting drunk?

No. Quitting would be pretty hard.

10. Have you missed days at work because of the drinking?

Of course.

11. Do you have blackouts?

You mean passing out from drinking? Its rare these days, but in college...whew!

12. Have you ever felt that your life would be better if you did not drink?

Yes. :(

13. When you take one or two drinks, can you stop and walk away?

If i need to, yes, but if I ain't got shit to do...

14. Have you ever embarrassed yourself or someone else when drinking?

If you say that you haven't then you're probably not doing it right...and you'd be lying.

15. Do you drink every day?

Pretty much.

16. How many times in the last month have you awakened with a hangover?

I don't really get hangovers anymore. Maybe one?

17. Do you spend money you don't have on alcohol?

No. I work hard to support my vices.

18. Has this affected your sleeping habits? (Do you pass out, get a drink in the middle of the night, or wet the bed when you sleep because of alcohol?)

No wetting the bed here thanks.

If you have answered yes to four or more of these questions, you are either an alcoholic or on your way to becoming one.
I challenge all of you fukkers to honestly fill ^^^ that out. Me being a big drinker is not breaking news around here.

AA should c&p this thread and I'll guarantee you a few will stop drinking just because of the brutal pile-ons.

That's some serious tough love going on here. I'll concede there isn't much love here either.

You know Buzz, you don't always come across as the sharpest tool in the shed, but they have these new inventions called "cell phones." You "subscribe" to a "cell phone provider." Most of the plans these "providers" offer include nationwide long-distance.

So, how does it feel to pay $700 for something I'd pay $40 for, if I were a big enough loser to want to talk to any of you on the phone?

further, i'm fairly in the know, and the few people posting, that i happen to respect as reasonably intelligent, know that.
