Later beeetches

Down here in lovely gulfport, ms protect democracy and shit. Tomorrow we head out to the field for 9-10 fun filled days. It is my first FEX (field exercise) with the seabees. No interwebs, no running water, no bed.

So, in place of lts turd posts, i'll get tear gassed a few times. I'd say that's about a draw, funwise.

See you fukksticks in about 9-10 days. Maybe I'll even be able to throw together a PET.

Right on cue? Because suckaholic's retort looked for all the world like it had been freshly penned by a certain FAT fucking RETARD? That shit writes itself.

Mizzou didn't get shafted by the selection committee. They got justly rewarded for their shitty OOC schedule.

'Sup, faggits?

Miss me?

That was quite possibly the worstest 9 days of my life. All of our com. equipment was dicked up. Getting gassed as a wakeup call is kinda fun. And wearing a fukking MTV with plates EVERYFUKKINGWHERE other than to bed is fun too. Especially when you are still recovering from a back injury.

I give soldiers and jarheads all the props in the world for doing that shit as a regular job while fighting shit heads who have real bullets. Even real seabees don't do that. They are trained for camp defense only. But, I will say, they take that shit pretty serious. A considerable number of the "white hats" (instructors) are active duty marine infantry.

Overall, looking back it was kind of fun, but, not fun enough that I'd like to do it again. I would do it again with a healed up back and the chance to play with the ma deuce. That fukking thing makes the baddest sound known to man. Trouble is, I'm a comms weenie, so I'll never get the chance.

Why did you drill with the Seabees? If that was the worst 9 days of your life then just retire from the reserves or whatever it is you do with the Navy.

What you should have suggested is for them to come to your back yard for 10 days, which would have been a worse assignment for everyone.

Hi,

Is it necessary to talk in some sort of cussing code in order to be a successful soldier? Acronyms?

Yeah, that 5 yard loader we had could have tamed even my back yard.

Some skeeters, but, not that bad. Worst thing there is the red ants. If you accidentally sit down on or near a mound, it will fukk up your day.

I guess you've never seen or heard an M168 on a Vulcan hose down a bunker with 20mm HEI.

I'm suprised you don't have any .50s. Our HQ platoon had two of them. Then again, I was in a real military unit.

smackaholic, I'm glad to see you're finally reeling in the attention (somewhat) you so desperately fished for.

We do have a .50 dumbass and a half dozen or so 240s for perimiter defense. This is for an 80 man unit. My point is that as a comms tech I'll never get the chance to use it in a field exercise.

And yes, the first cav is a "real military unit" in that it's primary purpose is to find and assfukk the enemy. I would fukking hope they were better armed than a bunch of squids whose primary purpose is to build shit.

But, that real military unit wouldn't even get to the fukking fight were it not for fake military units supporting them.

So who provides the manpower for your perimeter security? Are you a warrant officer by any chance? If so, I get it.

Perimeter security watches are stood by all the seabees rates, mechanics, steel workers, equipment operators, etc. Comms department stand comms watches. In a larger unit, there may be enough comms types that they find their way onto the perimeter security watchbill. Our main body of 350+ may have been in that situation, but, I was with air det with a wopping 5 people in comms, which is not even enough to fill our watchbill. The last night I got to work a double because my relief was out there in a fighting position.

And no, not a WO. Just a lowly E-6 ET1 type.

I'll take that as a yes, so, I will attempt to do so.

TiVO lives in SLO

TiVO is a mosquito

Therefore, mosquitoes do, in fact live in Cali (bay area).

I will give you that SLO stretches the fukk out of the term bay area, but, it is central coast cali and has similar weather and likely the same critters flying around (in escalades).
