Remembering Screw_Michigan

This is kind of fucked up, but today...we lost one of the "good ones".

Checking my email inbox this morning, I received an email from Screw_Michigan's cousin (with whom I post back and forth with on a Colorado Avalanche message board). He passed away late last evening, surrounded by friends and loved ones. I was told he wasn't in any pain, as he was on a steady IV drip of morphine for the last week.

As some of you didn't know (and only two other people on this board did know), Screw_Michigan lost his battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, something he was diagnosed with over three years ago. he was very private about this, and only let a few of his online friends in on his illness. It was around the time I was helping him with his blog that he revealed this to me.
He was tough about it, but realised things were getting worse and it was time to make his peace.

My last PM's with him were over three weeks ago and only concerned asking my advice for some web hosting he was looking for. That's the last time I spoke privately with him.

Yeah...I need a mop right now...because I can't stop the tears welling up in my eyes.
You were a good friend and an even better human being.

Here's to you, Screwey. Forever in our hearts and as long as we post here, forever online.

I would have thought that he'd slip in a puddle of cum and crack his head open.

I think they should waive the 5 year rule and give him immediate induction into the jizz mopping HOF.

It's only fair.

I will rack that and agree with you 100%. Screwy and I tangled more than a few times, but I still have the impression he was a stand up kind of guy. He will be missed. And take heed assholes...the Reaper can come calling at any time. I will leave my sig intact in tribute to him.

FUCK. Marty's not kidding. SM's mom just called me. I figured she just wanted to meet for casual sex, like usual. Then she broke the news.

If she had any panache, she would've broke it during a bout of casual sex.

We have to dress up 2.5 times a week after we are dead?

You cannot be serious? That's the problem with you analytical types -- you wouldn't know blatant sarcasm if your bedside nurse intravenously pumped it into your veins.

Unless these threads come with an obituary, or a funeral pic in the Enquirer, I never buy them.

Besides, a disease like Hodgkins prolly has standards.
