Never saw all the hoopla over Hope Solo...She stopped everything she was supposed to and did not prevent goals that could've been prevented...whatever...

every back line looks shaky for the team you're rooting for, but the us women seemed woefully inadequate when it came to marking players whenever they made a run at box. that and freaking out like a bunch of 5-year-olds swarming the ball in ymca soccer. should probably MOVE, BITCH when someone's trying to clear the ball away from net.
A lot of heavy legs in the penalties, they were exhausted. Nice to watch a game without time wasting, the woman don't go down in a heap and cry after a hard tackle like the men.
All the keepers were awful, they're afraid to hit the ground, but having tits might be a factor in that.
the USA girls outplayed the Japs by far. It shoulda' never gone to OT or penalty kicks, but that's the way the ball bounces. Still very proud of these ladies, they showed heart and class even in bitter defeat.
I'd adopt that Megan Rapinoe as my own, what a warrior. She reminds me of my daughter.

japanese got 'outplayed' by just about everyone but managed to sneak timely goals in. can see that leading to a one off upset but not the entire world cup. good on them.
