Call your shot

There's a tourney this weekend or something.

This one's a tough call for me, since I believe the Mighty Ben Crane is still laid up (injuries seem to be derailing his career, right when he really found his groove... God must hate him).

I have no freaking idea. Mantits seems the obvious choice, since he's on a roll, owns that course in recent years, and has gotten over his case of chokeitis.

But I just can't do it.... but Muchobulls will take him.

That #1 next to his name leads one to believe Kaymer is playing some nice golf lately... dude doesn't miss many shots these days.

Is it time for one of the Young Guns to break through? The California Kid? Barnes? Kim?

I doubt it.

Will Dustin Johnson get his dick out of the hotties, and be able to make it through 72 without hitting a laughably ill-advised shot, which he'll invariably Tin Cup? The "new" Augusta seems to smile upon the big hitters, but not when they hit it into the Gulf of Mexico.

How about an old fuck? If Freddie can keep his old bones together for 4 days... maybe?

Nah.

I'll go with a jaw-dropping return-to-glory for the Cablanasian. If I keep predicting it, my broken clock will find its twice-a-day.

Remember the rules, everyone -- make your unofficial pick by Thursday morning, and your official pick must be in by no later than Monday morning, unless that's inconvenient for you, then have it in sometime by the end of next week...

Because there are no losers in the Golf Forum.

Because he can create a universe in the time it takes Crane to play 9 holes.

I'm going with The Mick. Dark horse...The Dark One.

Which one?

Anyway, I'm going to ride the Cablinasian Skank Banger bandwagon into the ground like Perkins waitress on a Saturday night. I know there have been some top level guys (Ian Baker Finch and Ralph Guldahl being the best examples) who have lost their skills forever. I just don't think Eldrick has gotten this close to THE ONLY RECORD THAT MATTERS just to curl up and die.

Dark Horse? Ben Crenshaw.

How's that working out?

Friday evening, Paddy will be spinning records at the turntables, or so the "MC" next to his name would lead one to believe.

At least he's neither AP or dead-last... couple of guys stunk it up even worse than MC Crenshaw.

Shooting under par is usually a sign of a winner.

Bubba better get his game on in a hurry.

Actually, as personable as Bubba is, I'll always root against him, and the rest of the bible-thumpers (I make an exception for Ben Crane). Those tards can fuck themselves...

Win a tourney, and go all Zach Johnson, and start whining about God this, God that...

Gee, Zach... is that the same God who told you you aren't supposed to be working on Sundays?

I guess they're willing to look past that pesky commandment if there's a million bucks in it for them. Fuggin hypocrites.

Started the day with a "#1" next to his name...

Right now, has a "T93" next to his name. (Of 99)

Didn't see that one coming for MC Kaymer.

MCs do not spin records. MCs spit rhymes while DJs spin records.

Gary Woodland tore up the back 9, so I heard, and came in at -3.

Guy I work with little brother was his roommate at KU, so it's like we're 5th cousins or something.

McIlroy played with such ease today, but something tells me they're going to let the course dry out a little and the green won't be nearly as soft as they have for the first two days

Jason Day played fucking lights out

he definitely had "that look" in his eyes
that shot at 18 may be the one that fires him up for the weekend
and he's got to love his pairing with Choi tomorrow

In the post-round interview, he said he couldn't tell you which holes he birdied... that's indicative of "in the zone."

what if you had a moving day and nobody moved?

cabrerra and scott were the only two making significant moves on the leaderboard....not what you expect for Saturday at the Masters

Good call.

I really don't know shit about golf, but I love how the TV ignores a player during an epic meltdown, like they didn't exist anymore.

diminishing returns for both the broadcast and the player....the masters is probably the single most pressure filled tournament there is, because it's probably the most highly sought championship in professional golf

having been in a similar position in some amateur tournaments I've played in (and having experienced a similar derail) all you want to do is stay out of the way of the guys that still have a chance....and it's fucking brutal to watch....

having done the same thing at the Open Championship last year, I don't know what this going to do to McIlroy's psyche...he may never recover (s'up Tom Weiskopf)

I believe he's allowed to take it offsite for the next year, he just can't wear it anywhere outside of Augusta. :meds:

They did show the meltdown - the triple at 10, the four putt double at 12 and the drive on 13. They just pretty much stopped showing him once he was completely out of contention.

Funny how they like to focus the TV coverage on those who are battling it out for the win.

And what a great bunch of kidders we have here. Don't tell me each and every one of you didn't secretly have Charl Schwer... Shwantzu...

that one South African dude as a shoe-in.

We all knew his nads would grow three sizes like the Grich on a Xstacy/GHB cocktail come the back 9 on Sunday.

That was freaking manly.

One thing about CBS that bugs me is when they show their leader board. When you have two or more players tied at a given number do you list them in the order they teed off? The reverse of that order? No, you list Tiger first, then Phil, etc. I know, it’s a minor point, but I don’t like it and I’m going to talk to my friend Jim Nantz about it.

I could be mistaken, but I believe for ties, whoever has the lowest score of the day is listed first, if they're tied in that, it's whoever teed up first...

I think.

You havn't been watching very closely. Tiger is always listed at the top of a group. No rhyme or reason to what follows, other than the more familiar face gets higher billing.

Who gives a fuck? It's not like they're gonna decide the tournament on tiebreakers, BCS style.
