Did you just discover the 30 for 30 series? Pony Excess was good, but it was hardly the best one yet.

That was a good episode. Funny how hypocritical Craig James comes across in it, but he's a piece of shit, so I didn't expect anything less.

Amen to that. Much hypocrisy from former players, especially when it came to the comments that the school didn't want the "Excess" era players involved with promoting the program. The SMU athletic department has been begging James, Dickerson and others for years to come back and help get the program winning again.

The best one by far:

I think you can watch all the parts on Youtube.

I liked when he was told by someone that if he didn't go to Texas he'd never work in the state after college by saying, "Fuck Texas"

And I wonder where his asshole kid got the entitlement complex? I hope that kid was locked in that fucken shed and beaten Gomer Pyle-style.

The Jessie Armstead crotch-slam taunt is the best of them all.

Best ones:

Straight out of LA
Len Bias
Reggie Miller vs. The Knicks
Allen Iverson
June 17, 1994 (quite possibly the most underrated)
The U
The Two Escobars

Forget the name of it, but the one about Drazen Petrovic and Vlade Divac was awesome. So was the one about Marcus Dupree.

I really wanted to see the Petrovic/Divac one. Same with the Hank Gathers one.

Didn’t see the Gathers one, I’ll have to check that out. The Divac/Petrovic one was great. I didn’t realize how big of a stud Petrovic was. Dude was a fucking assassin. I always thought Divac came across as a whiney pussy, but that put him in a whole new light. Check it out if you can, I think it might be on iTunes.

Clearly you didn't see the one on Marcus Dupree, because it should be on your list. June 17, 1994 was a letdown for me. I didn't care for the way it was done. Good footage though.

He was saying it because he was not getting a Trans Am or $50K cash from Texas. I am not saying that Texas wasn't involved in some of the dirty recruiting in the 80's....they did get a 2 year probation in 1987 and lost 5 scholarships for improper benefits to a gifted student athlete......but the blatant breaking of rules by some was crazy. SMU, TCU, Tech and A&M all got in trouble.

I did love the part when the DL said that SMU offered him $20K and he said that A&M offered him twice that! Classic.

The DuPree one was excellent. Len Bias is being shown again 12/23 and 12/30. The Two Escobars is back 12/29 and 1/2.

You can find all of the schedules here:

On more thing, Tardowen, I hate to disappoint you but there's not one on Lance Rentzel.

Oh yeah, one of my favorite quotes from The Two Escobars came from Popeye, one of Pablo Escobar's main henchmen:

"With my own hands, I've killed around 250 people, but only a psychopath keeps count."
