i use "stumble!" on firefox from time to time when i'm bored...

well..i guess it stumbled into a virus or some bullshit because every 2 minutes or so this bubble pops up "Security Tool Warning" and tries to get me to click on it..completely fake cause half the words are mispelled..

downloaded the latest AVG Antivirus and when i go to open it to install that damned "Security Tool" opens a window saying it's a worm and it's trying to steal my credit card info....i ran my Ad-Adaware and Avast! but it's not finding it. Also went to control panel to see if i couldnt get rid of it there....and it's not showing up...

there's also 2 new icons on the bar and when i mouse over them it has "0399633127"


what can i do to get rid of this bullshit?

Have you at least tried clearing your browser's cache?

There's a Firefox "no-script" add on that you might be interested in.

I'm convinced that the smartest, easiest thing you can do to protect your computer is to run No-Script in Firefox. But FF has been pissing me the fuck off lately. About six weeks ago, Firefox had an error (Wouldn't open) and I had to re-install it. Now, it doesn't run youtube videos. It tells me to upgrade to the newest version of Flash, but every time I do, it just shows me the same error message.

Now I use Chrome to watch videos and shit, but I don't like browsing on it because it doesn't have No-Script. Any suggestions for getting Flash to work in Firefox?

Have you established for a fact that the Flash plugin is installed for Firefox?

Marty, is the "technology" that allows you to watch youtube videos flash or java? If so, I have updated java for my add-ons/plug-ins and it still doesn't work.
