I've Never Seen...

...an Oklahoma offense so snake bit. Consider:

- Sam Bradford...out for year
- Jermaine Greshem...out for year
- Ryan Broyles...misses Miami, Baylor, and (for all intents and purposes) Texas
- DeMarco Murray...misses two games
- Brandon Caleb (starting WR)...knocked out in Kansas game (still out)
- Adron Tenell (starting WR)...knocked out in Nebraska game
- Brody Eldridge (second best lineman)...knocked out in Nebraska game
- Tavaris Jeffries (starting lineman)....suspended from team

Other than Trent Williams and Chris Brown, each and every Sooner who's worth a damn on offense has missed action, including two of the best players in the country. Injuries are part of football but I've never seen so many injuries to key players in my life. Not complaining...just stating a depressing fact.

Mgo will likely want a word with you.

I know fans of other teams feel my pain...I've just never seen it before at OU. Guess that actually makes me lucky in some fucked-up way.

Nah, that's not what I meant. Mgo gave shit the other day about Cuda's observations, and they had an argument about complaining vs merely making an observation.

If we're going to keep running this type of O we need to put Green back in, he might bust a run, Lee won't.

Our D keeps making plays, I'm really proud of the blackshirts. We may need another score off a turnover yet.

This game makes me want to put my head in a vice...

Agreed, though...props to the Blackshirts. Every bit as good as the Texas D, IMO.

NU's tackling in the flat/open field has been outstanding.

Serious question. What are your thoughts on your team next year? No doubt, we're gonna be hurting without Colt and his butt buddy, but we've got Gilbert who's a grade A QB in line, but without the experience I'm skeert of next year.

First, props to Nebraska on a good win. Best of luck to the Huskers the rest of the way.

PrimeX...a lot of it depends on how many juniors head to the NFL. We'll lose McCoy for sure but if we keep Murray, Beal, Lewis, and Taylor we could be a little better. I don't think Jones is the answer at QB. He's good but he's more Hybl than Bradford. It'll be interesting to see how Blake Bell does. Bottom line...I think OU is 2-3 years away from being a national contender again.

I wouldn't read too much into this game. OU's defense is really fucking good too.

Oh I know OU has a first-rate D, them being a first-rate D was the reason we basically tried to avoid turnovers and hoped the D would carry us. Which actually worked but it's still a sad statment that we have to play not to lose on O and hope for the best. Your D is dang good, hands-down better than the VT squad we played in September, but our O needs real work. At least Helu seems to be getting back to his old self, he provided most of the O we could produce.

I understand what you're saying...and Nebraska's offense does seem pretty average. All I'm saying is that this is the 1st or 2nd best defensive unit of the Stoops era. Remember, OU made a very good Texas offense look awful as well. Last year's OU offense + this year's OU defense = holy shit-fuck good.

Now go win out and beat the shorthorns.

FWIW...and what the fuck do I know...but I'd go with Lee the rest of the year if I was Bo. The freshman looked like a deer in headlights tonight.

This is only the second time I have evver called for coaches or staffs heads on platters (Jack Spates as the Wrestling coach for the last 4 years is the first and he still has a fucking job) but Kevin Wilson and James Patton need to be shown the door. PEOS.

How in the blue blazes of Hades do you hold a team to under 185 yards of total offense and not win? SERIOUSLY!

By the way, OU's best lineman, Brody Eldridge, and all Big 12 defensive end, Auston English, are both out for the season after suffering injuries in the Nebraska game.
