USC-Oregon St in game...

Looks like most everyone here has their own games to watch tonight, so this thread will likely just be here so people can quickly drop in to see what's going on.

Dunno if this is really a "revenge" game, the way the media keeps trying to make it out to be, but every game is now a must-win game for USC.

Oregon State hasn't won in the Coliseum since 1960, and they haven't beaten USC back-to-back since 1916. So, yeah, history says USC does not lose this game.

The mission tonight: 1-Don't beat themselves, with penalties and turnovers. 2-Contain the Rodgers brothers. 3-Create turnovers.

Do those three things, they win comfortably.

Battle of punts so far, after Joe McKnight dropped an easy 1st down pass on third and short.

YES!! Everson Griffen ripped and stripped Quizz, for a fumble! USC ball on the Oregon St 25.

McKnight is just running like a beast. He seems to have forgotten that he's Joe McKnight, these past few games. He's becoming asteady, tough runner.

Barkley with a perfect touch pass to McCoy for the TD! Beautiful pass.

7-0 USC, with 9:49 left in the 1st.

Great to see the D cause a turnover. Great to see the O dominate with McKnight, which set up Barkley with all the time in the world to comfortably throw that TD pass. Run to set up the pass. Nice.

Correction: It was James Rodgers who fumbled, not little brother Quizz.

Oregon St opening up this drive with a nice flanker screen to Rodgers, followed by Quizz for a short run for first down.

Then Quizz gets snuffed behind the line.

Canfield for OSU is getting time to throw, and looking comfortable.

Little screen for OSU goes for 31 yards. USC D looking confused, OSU looking good on O.

Just noticed Texas is already up 14-0 early, in the place where MNC go to reach fruition.

MIssouri sucks. same bad D we've all seen for the Pinkel era and UT is not that good. Dink and Dunk on O. take away Shipley and the deep ball (which i'm not sure they can throw)....they are beatable. UT is for real on the front 4, i don't think this team is anywhere near being the best team in the country. OU is limping cripple and they took these guys into the last couple minutes.

an SEC D will the athletes to play man on these UT WR's and stack the line. OU did it.

USC holds. OSU setting up for a 48 yd GF attempt.

Good! That bomb would've been good from 60! Too bad he doesn't play for Tennessee. St. Nick would be seriously bumming right now if OSU's kicker was a Vol.

7-3 USC.

FUCK JIMMY FOOTBALL! I HATE THAT CUNT!! DIE, INSIPID CUNT! DIE!!

Pretty much, yeah, though by the end of most of 'em other people begin to trickle in as their games end.

OSU reads Barkley, who locked on his receiver, for an easy pick. OSU ball at midfield.

Nice pick by Dockrey.

Barkley may be the interception we all thought he would be in this game.

Canfield is getting too much time to throw. USC is not getting enough pressure on him, and he looks great.

USC holds again, after stuffing Quizz and pressuring the subsequent screen on third and long...

OSU kicker hits another 48 bomb! Fuck! That kid has a big leg.

7-6 USC.

OSU has come to play. They're flying around and hitting. They're playing with way more fire than USC right now.

This looks like it's going to be a tough game.

Barkley with another great anticipation throw for a big 21 yarder.

Ooo, ugly injury to an OSU lineman. Bad knee buckle.

Joe McKnight is rolling again. USC is running downhill again.

Welcome back, Rojo!

Perfect throw, perfect diving catch on the bomb!

14-6 USC.

Great to see our deep threat/most explosive kick returner back on the field, after missing the whole season.

Great drive by OSU led by James Rodgers on a long flanker reverse stalls out in the red zone, and the kicker with the huge leg somehow hooks a PAT length chippy FG.

Still USC 14-6.

Oregon St's passing game is working well. Their O line is giving Canfield all the time he needs. USC may have to begin committing more than just the front four to the pass rush. So far, OSU isn't running much. USC is committing to the run, but with OSU's passing success that may change.

USC just dodged a HUGE bullet, when Barkley's pass was tipped for a pick on the USC thirty, only to have it erased by a truly boneheaded, blatant late hit on Barkley by OSU.

USC takes that gift and turns it into a long TD march, capped off by Barkley running the ball for a TD.

21-6 USC.

4th and 4 for OSU on the USC 36. Will Harris misses the easy tackle. First down, OSU. That was like a turnover, that missed tackle.

OSU still driving.

Goddamn, there are some major hotties in the crowd. Nice work by the camera men!

Crucial drive by OSU.

:54 left in the half, and OSU has played well offensively, but they still only have the two long FGs. They need points here. USC has sold out against the run, conceding the intermediate passing game, and OSU is killing with it.

Not sure USC's "bend but don't break" philosophy here will work all game. They're going to have to get to the QB.

Sack...fumble...

...OSU recovers. Fuck.

At least USC sent someone after Canfield that time. They need to do that more.

Third and 24, :16 left.

Okay, fourth and long. OSU setting up for a 35 yd FG attempt...

Good! 21-9 USC at the half.

The difference in this game is simple. USC's converting their scoring opportunites for TDs, while OSU keeps having to settle for FGs. Basic math.

The Beavers are outplaying SuC in this game and are down at the half.

This all without Quizz.

If Quizz comes back in the second half... $C loses this game.

The Beavers have been shitting the bed so far. It might not last into the 2nd half.

Total Yards... Oregon State 230 SuC 196

Time of possession: 19 minutes OSU.... $C 11 minutes.

All without Quizz....

... if he comes back... this one is the Beavs

Typical Cal thinking.

No, OSU is not outplaying USC, and OSU isn't shitting the bed. It's one turnover apiece, and the penalties are close too. USC has three long, easy TD drives against the OSU D. USC's D has not allowed a TD.

Keep that up all game, and USC wins 42-18. Cal would probably Cal it a win, but the scoreboard would say USC rolled to an easy win.

Yes. USC is up 21-9, and OSU has only seriously threatened to score a TD once, which they couldn't do. Meanwhile, USC is moving the ball easily down the field, and they've converted for three TDs.

What the fuck game are you watching? Are you even aware that a football game is typically won by the team which more often sees their players carrying the ball into the pretty painted rectangles at either end of the field?

USC has done so three times. OSU hasn't done it once yet. Are you fucking retarded?

USC begins the second half with the ubiquitous holding call on their opening kickoff. What else is new.

Nice play by McKnight to get the first down, getting them out from their goal line.

Jesus, Texas 35-7? Haaaaaa!!!

Brice Butler just drops an easy bomb. Fuck. His drop forces a punt. Bad opening drive by USC.

Fuck. USC hits the punt returner, giving OSU great field position.

Baaaaad beginning of the half.

Big drive coming up for OSU. If they score here this will be close the whole way. USC has to begin coming after Canfield with LBs and blitzes. They need to hurry him up and force him into some mistakes.

SHIT!! USC misses another tackle, then they rip and strip the ball, but they let OSU recover it again!

OSU ball inside the five...

P.I. against USC...automatic first down...

Second and goal after a drop by the OSU reciever...

Time out, OSU.

OSU has to score here, and not just another FG.

OSU converts. Nice play call by Riley with a little underneath pass to Quizz.

It's a ballgame now.

21-16 USC.

Barkley will need to make plays, and USC has to begin coming after the QB. Canfield is just way too comfortable back there.

Shit, they just flashed on the screen that Iowa won 15-13 on the final play of the game.

Man, what a rough year for poor Mgo. Dude keeps losing heartbreakers.

Barkley to Rojo again, for another bomb!

Bradford for the TD!

Helluva answer by USC. Quick bam-bam drive for the answering TD.

OSU ripping off big play after big play. Man, these guys can play USC. OSU O-line doing a GREAT job. Canfield has all day, and he's hurt them so badly that now their running game is opening up.

Big holding call on OSU. That hurts.

Hell, USC just needs to keep scoring. OSU isn't going to politely go away.

HUGE middle screen to the TE by OSU, down to the two yard line...let's check the flag...

Holding on the OSU WR.

2nd and 5 from the 15.

EASY TD by Canfield!

Man, they're just looking awesome, and USC's pass rush is nonexistent tonight. This is the worst I've seen USC's pass defense look in probably eight years. That OSU O-line and Canfield are just ripping it up.

28-23 USC.

Gotta keep scoring, USC.

Fortunately for USC they get the ball too, after each OSU score.

Big run by Bradford to open the USC drive.

This game feels like a big turnover will be the difference. Who makes the big mistake?
