Excellent point, with the exceptions:
1. They sound nothing like the Goo Goo Dolls
2. Their song writing in no way resembles the Goo Goo Dolls
3. Nothing, short of the instruments they play, would ever make one confuse them with the Goo Goo Dolls
Aside from those, you made some valid points.
