just sayen.

i know one person who's into that guy.
and he's an eccentric ole' alcoholic/writer/uncle - so he pretty much doesn't count.

i don't know that GL is a great guitarist or anything but his lyrics, melodies and voice are solid. i'm guessing this is geeky. especially because he is canadian.

i can't help it though. gordon lightfoot rules.
i have 'sundown' on repeat cycle.

piss on you people for not noticing and appreciating.

ps: i've found a boxed set for 60 bucks. i am fiending for it.

Except that the song title gives away the ending, and after the first verse you have heard the entire song.

He had cool sweaters, though.

no, Patsy - RACK YOU

and Wreck of the EF is a classic. it's simple, but nails.
besides, a song doesn't have to be complicated for it to be good.
this guy has a solid catalog.

ps: i like him better in sweaters but i think he's going for Saturday Night Gord !!!

I've tried to spread the love for Mr. Lightfoot on these boards before. Old Dan's Records is on my list of top 100 albums of all time. Quality stuff.
