I've seen the movie a million times, but I never bought myself a copy of the DVD. Best line of the movie, other than the introduction of the Syracuse goons during the final game and the "The players are standing up to them. The fans are standing up to them. The PEANUT VENDORS ARE STANDING UP TO THEM! And if I wasn't up here, by golly, I'D be standing up to them!"

"Yeah, Johnny always says you can only screw so much and drink so much."

I've been meaning to get a DVD copy of Slap Shot and Caddyshack...I've got both on VHS. I've got a DVD-VHS recorder but those tapes don't let you copy them or record a DVD version of it.

I honestly think this is the funniest line in the whole movie, said by McGrath:

"Reg, Reg, that reminds me. I was coachin' in Omaha in 1948 and Eddie Shore sends me this guy who was a terrible masturbator, you know, couldn't control himself. Why, he would get deliberate penalties so he could get over in the penalty box all by himself and damned if he wouldn't... you know... "


...and Bettman thinks Avery is too risque for the NHL.
