Is McCain aware the Berlin Wall fell?

Post by BSmack »

For a foreign policy "expert", McCain certainly repeats a lot of gaffes. Like the one where he refers to Czechoslovakia in the present tense.
I was concerned about a couple of steps that the Russian government took in the last several days. One was reducing the energy supplies to Czechoslovakia. Apparently that is in reaction to the Czech's agreement with us concerning missile defense, and again some of the Russian now announcement they are now retargeting new targets, something they abandoned at the end of the Cold War, is also a concern.

I guess he's more like Chimpy than even I gave him credit for.

At a GOP presidential debate back in January, the late Tim Russert asked McCain this question: "Sen. McCain, you have said repeatedly, quote, 'I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated.' Is it a problem for your campaign that the economy is now the most important issue, one that by your own acknowledgment you're not well versed on?"

McCain replied at the debate, "Actually, I don't know where you got that quote from. I'm very well versed in economics."

Uhm... he got it from the WSJ, dumbass.

Everyone in this thread is my friend, except the guy that started it...and the guy after him...and the guy after him......and the guy after him......and the guy after him...

...otherwise, we've always been cool.

You're both right, okay? Now, lets' all head over to the Music Forum and post some shitty, grainy YouTube links to terrible artists.

Meanwhile, on the Insane Gibberish Express, Grampy McSame repeated his Czechoslovakia gaffe. Also, note that he has been screwing this up since... well ever since Czechoslovakia split up.

Yep, because Obama didn't repeat his gaffe over and over and over again.

John McShame wrote:"Free trade is important for Colombia and the world," said Senator McCain.

An overwhelming majority of historians will tell you that protectionism and isolationism were a major factor in one of the greatest depressions in the modern history for this country. I am not going to sit by and see that happen

Republican presidential candidate John McCain on Tuesday urged Congress to adopt a sweeping overhaul of the nation's immigration laws and challenged critics to offer a better alternative.

"Anyone who says we shouldn't pass this legislation, I would ask for their proposal," McCain said. "I have not heard their recommendation."

He's doing an awful lot of "urging"...

For a guy who has missed more votes this year than any other member of Congress.

We're on the same page there, brother...

I just define "doing nothing" as not opening their foul fucking pieholes, as well.

It's either a lie or hypocricy when they do, so we should pass a law banning congresspeople from speaking... ever.
