I had Rudy first and Romney second.

Please tell me that the guy who called this thread a "glass deek" knows that the program picks the candidates for you that you supposedly share the same views with, and that this isn't about which candidates you endorse.

BTW, Giuliani was #1 and I had a 3-way tie between Romney, McCain and Thompson for #2.

Doesn't that just make you want to puke?

Me, I'm stuck with Cryin' Ryan (Darryl) Issa. The Dems usually don't even bother to put up a candidate in this district.

Maybe we could switch - congressmen, that is.

Oh. So you "share the same views" that it's perfectly acceptable to tell bald-faced lies for political and personal gain?

Well thanks for clearing THAT up.

But wait -- McCain has the same deal going as Romney, except McCain is telling us the word "amnesty" means something completely different where he comes from as opposed to you, whereas with Romney, it's YOUR unfamiliarity with the definition of "saw" that makes him not a liar, as in "I SAW my father march with Martin Luther King."

Turns out, he meant he "saw" it in a vision, since his father did no such thing. Of course, he only shared this tidbit AFTER he got called out for telling bald-faced lies.

And Guliani -- he spouts the lies too quickly to even keep track of all of them.

But this is what you people tolerate, so you get what you deserve... fucking tards.

The furor wasn't about the hummer, it was about the fact that it was before a grand jury. You hear those pounding steps? That's BSmack galloping to his keyboard to hop on this thread now that you mentioned slick Willy and the blowjob. Nice going.

BTW, don't presume to know who I'm going to vote for based on what some stupid website says. Truth is, there's one candidate from each party that I'd consider voting for.

But that question never should have been allowed in the grand jury... although it was still egregiously wrong morally to lie about it. A simple "I refuse to answer that question" would have done just fine.

Newsflash dumbfuck: When you lard a spending bill with earmarks for your district and then vote against that bill knowing that it will pass anyway just so that you can burnish your "anti-spending" credentials, you are a fucking liar. Not only are you a liar, but you are lying about what is considered to be one of your core principles.

Then there is the issue of the numerous racist newsletters that were published in his name while he was dwelling underneath his rock. Paul claims that he knew absolutely nothing about those newsletters that went out in his name.

Are you telling me you find that denial credible? If so, what does the fact that he has absolutely no idea what his staff is doing in his name tell you about his leadership ability?

Sorry, Paul is just another run of mill political hack not to mention a tard of epic proportions.

In addition to matching your views to the politician's views and rhetoric, you then have to decide, "Which candidate can actually do the job and make the issues that he/ she supports happen!" Who has the most experience and best track record.

If I was a liberal democrat, which I am not, I would think that Hillary has bigger balls than Obama, has more clout and is more likely to accomplish what she intends to accomplish. However, not necessarily what she says she plans to accomplish.

I think Obama is more honest but lacks the political background that Hillary has. Obama has been an elected official longer but Hillary's 2 terms in the White House (as the FL) give her the political experience edge.

As far as the Republican side, there are many more choices that do have the necessary political experience to actually do the job and get done what they say they will get done.

IMO, McCain possesses the most experience and political knowledge to get the job done right. I also think McCain would be more acceptable to Democrats than a Huckabee, Giuliani or Romney.

So basically all this poll told me is that I agree with almost every candidate on less than 40% of the bullshit they spew, ideologically speaking.

I wouldn't vote for any of my top four, either. WTF was that jailed Injuns name?

Mayor Giuliani doesn't have what it takes, Edwards is a profiteering scumbag lawyer who has probably cost americans more money in increased prescription prices than anyone in history, Hilary cannot be trusted, and Obama is the biggest platform inflating "I'll give you hope, but not much more" lying pulpit preacher of a candidate I have ever heard speak.

I might have to write in either Tiny Tim or Pat Paulson. All the best Presidents are dead, anyway. Not that my vote matters worth a shit since no one I care to vote for is running. I can see an Obama / Clinton ticket in my nightmares, though, and the repubs have nothing,

Rudy Giuliani 41
John Edwards 35
Hillary Clinton 34
Barack Obama 33
Chris Dodd 32
John McCain 28
Bill Richardson 27
Joe Biden 26
Duncan Hunter 25

After Feb. 5, it may be an election of chosing between two liars. Hopefully, not.

Dude, I don't know if you caught this, but there's actually an Amendment in the Constitution that covers this. The Supreme Court actually took a gander at it, and agreed.

But the people who actually wrote those election laws are even more draconian than you -- they even require US citizenship.

There are no meaningful voting requirements when you aren't even obligated to prove your identity before pulling the lever.

I'd be happy to do that - ONLY if people on welfare and all jailers were prohibited were not allowed to vote. I'd also say that you'd have to be a LEGAL alien with at least 20 years in the USA before you could vote as well. I would also probably say that the voting age should be raised to 21....
They should just swap the drinking and voting ages. Old enough to vote (but probably shouldn't be), hold a job, serve in the military...

But not have a beer?

As far as the first statement, I'd go further. If taxation without representation is tyranny, then representation without taxation is anarchy. The franchise should be limited to those who pay more in taxes than they recieve from the government. There was a reason that property holding (and paying property taxes) was originally a requirement to vote- those who pay the bills should have the say in who runs the show. Of course, maybe Robert Heinlein had the right idea- only veterens vote, ewveryone else is pretty much a freeloader to begin with.

And while you're at it, anyone who doesn't vote for two election cycles should be required to re-register and then wait four years. Use it or lose it would serve as an incentive.

But leave the EC alone. The Founders knew there would be demagougic vermin like Gore in the future who would focus on highly populous states and ignore the rest of the country. When the constitution was written, three states (Pennsylvania, New Yory and Virginia) had a majority of the population. Since 1913 the EC is the last protection the individual states have against dominance by the federal government

And yes, Dims has always been an ankle-biting twit.
