Chiefs over duhs again ... hohum

another raiduh beat down week starts now.

Since 1990, the Chiefs hold a 27-8 win ratio over the duhs, including winning the last 8. Subtract Chucky, (Only good coach the duhs have had in 20+ years) it would even be worse.

Chiefs 21
duhs 9, 10 penalties, 2 int's, 1 fumble, qb sacked 6 times.

Since 1990 Oakland has won 4 division titles, KC has won 3.
Oakland has won 6 playoff games, KC has won 2.
Oakland has played in 3 AFC Championship Games and 1 Super Bowl, KC has played in 1 and 0.

Currently, KC is 3-3 and Oakland is 2-3.
This will be a big division game for both teams.

The past doesn't interest me right now.

Just keep telling yourself that the past doesn't matter. You'll have another opportunity to so next week, and the week after, and the week after... lather, rinse, repeat.

It's hard to even work up a decent semblance of hatred for the 'duhs anymore, and that saddens me.

Same old, same old. Chiefs run the streak to 9 straight.

KC - 24
Oak - 20

LJ will roll up at least 150 against the Duhs.

Jordan might go for 100 or more, but the Raiders may not put up even 100 passing yards.

KC wins the turnover battle 4-2 and the game 24-14.

Does this entitle me to post on Sunday night?

If the Raiders don't put forth their best performance they can lose this game.

Figures to be a very physical game with both teams wanting to control things w/the running game.
Might possibly see a few 8, 10, 12 play drives.

Oakland should have G. Warren back this week, and maybe D. Burgess will be healthy enough for more than just the spot-duty he was able to give v. SD.
It's not like the defense can use these guys or anything.

I see Oakland doing more with their running game than KC.
That, plus home field, ought to be enough to get the Raiders over the top.

Rushing Yards
Oakland - 153
Kansas City - 105

Score
Oakland - 22
Kansas City - 17

The Raydahs are 26th in total defense, 24th in points allowed (25.6 a game) and 27th in the league with seven sacks in five games....yeah, I'd say they could use those guys back.

A number of NFL teams can play sub-par ball and still easily get over on a team the likes of KC.

Not Oakland.

Usually you don't have must win games this early in the season but for the Silver and Black it's a must win game at home vs. a division opponent. The Queefs are the perfect team to do that to and get this rivalry back on track. The Bronco loss was close and the San Diego game was a winnable game even though it seemed one sided this team does not give up.

G.Warren has not practiced all week and most likely be a no go for Sunday's game, Terrell Sands did absolutly nothing in his place last week and Sapp needs to go on a binge and gain the 35lbs to push the line back. That being said the best way to stop LJ with our D-line is to keep the offense on the field and feed the 3 headed monster of Jordon, Rhodes, and Fargas the ball and have a few long drives.

Game has sold out and it's going to be loud and crazy!

Offensively, kc has LJ and an aging and overrated Tony G. Thats it. Mike Huff will shut down TG like he pretty much did on Gates last week. (Huff did such a great job of shutting down Gates last week, they had to rely on that whiney bitch - LT). G Warren has to remind himself he's not with those limpdicks in CO and get back on the field.

A more balanced Raiders' offense will control T.O.P.

So the game won't be blacked out in Choakland like it normally is, which is nice in that it will keep the crime down for at least a few hours whilst the 'duh faithful chug their 40's indoors.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Raydah James thought that was a seriously myopic take.

Oh, and NO Raydah defender has EVER "shut down" Tony G., OK Sport?

Bowe and Tony G will be a challenge for the Raider secondary.
D. Burgess 'healthy' and coming strong off the edge on Huard ought to help matters considerably for a team that's been lacking in QB pressure.
I'm not that worried about Oakland getting burned through the air.
More concerned about the Raider ability to stop the run.
5.4 yds per rush given up so far.
Ridiculously bad for a unit that was, coming into the season, supposed to be TEH shit.

Struggling v. the run will be a season-long problem for Oakland, IMO.
They just don't have it up front in the middle of the line.
Sapp was never a BIG guy to begin with, and now with the weight loss he looks downright smallish in there.
G. Warren's condition is suspect.
T. Sands has been a disappointment.
T. Kelly can't provide that much in the middle of the line.
Oakland is also lacking a safety who is consitently providing excellent run support.
Huff is improving overall, but the need a REAL hitter at safety to go along w/him, IMO.

DT and safety are big off-season priorities for the Raiders.

But I'm just not very impressed with KC's run game.
The line doesn't get it done, so I don't think Oakland will get raped that badly v. the run in this game.

Loco is right that this is a BIG game for the Raiders.
I don't know about it being a 'must' win game, because it's only week 6, but 0-3 in the division would bring on a LOT of negativity.

Let's just say the Raiders could use a win here very much.

Tart hit the nail on the head with our D........although I do disagree with you strongly about Tommy Kelly-he has been the one shining star on our defensive line and was the reason we beat cleveland.

When the question is "How can a defense that was top 3 in the league last year drop so far this year with the same players?", the painfully obvious answer is "Rob. Fucking. Ryan." Son of Buddy is an absolute dumbfuck of a DC who is wasting our kickass young talent by not blitzing them more often.........I mean, Thomas Howard runs a fucking 4.4 40 for christ sakes. Once that fat sack of shit is curbed for a coherent coordinator, our D will be back to being a top 5 squad again.

This week, the D will do just enough.

The raider defense looked pretty good last year, but I think people overrated them.
Truth is that opposing teams went to a 'turtle' offense v. our defense because, due to the historic futility of our own offense, all they needed was about 10 pts to win a game.
Nobody attacked our defense last year -- they didn't have to.
So our stats looked great.

We have some pretty good personel, and we're young.
We're just lacking a guy-or-two on the d-line and a guy at safety.

Ryan is Ryan, same as last year.
Kiffin is the new guy.
Why not blast him for the poor defense?

I dunno, just tossing that out there.

T. Sands' not doing his job at NT has hurt us.
Burgess' injury has hurt us.
W. Sapp being old and skinny has hurt us.

Bottom line is the defense needs to step it up.

Hate to jock al-RaidaFan, but pop's take on this game is dead nuts, par uszhh'.

IMHO, this game is determined by several factors:

a) Can the 'duhs continue the momentum established by their running game in previous games, thus effectively controlling the clock?

2) Can the Chiefs establish an effective running game of their own on the road?

d) Trends. Think eight-straight losses possibly won't motivate the 'duhs? Mix in a sold-out Mausoleum and all bets are off....

Another consideration might be the effect - if any - the High Priest of Enigma holds on this game. Common sense suggests very minimal, but this guy is another country completely. A 40 yard sprint on a screen pass to determine the winning score wouldn't surprise me....

Match-ups aside, I gotta admit, point "d" troubles me the most. AlRaida has never lost 9 straight to an opponent. Ever. In their history.

That said...

*Sigh*
