World of Outlaws

Post by War Wagon »

It was ok.

I had VIP passes and the buffet didn't suck one bit. So then I ventured into the pits and met Steve Kinser and wifey got an autograph on this poster we snagged on he way in. That didn't suck either, and I became an instant fan of the #11. Even went and bought a hoodie for $35 at his souvenier trailer because it was cold as hell and I didn't dress for it.

But the best part was that they were running qualifying over on the Heartland Park drag strip, hot rods galore. Having VIP passes, I was able to stand up there on this hill separating both tracks and watch both simultaneously. Can you say motorhead heaven? That's where I was at.

Those hot rods roaring down the 1/4 mile track... wow. I'd never felt that before. You feel that in your gut, and it's enough to make your dick get hard w/o Viagra.

I now know where Paul is coming from on that score.

Wags, you probably saw the Top Alcohol dragsters and Funny Cars....yeah, they'll shake right through you too, but NOTHING like the nitro burners do.

Sounds like a damn good time there. Glad you had fun.

I have no idea what I saw, but I don't think it was that.

Just Hot Rods burning up the track every 30 seconds or so. Some street legal, some not.

Souped up Monte Carlos, Camaros, Firebirds, El Caminos, Vegas, Dusters, Novas.. you name the American made car.

Not a Jap car in sight.

Is it any wonder that we piss on Toyota?
