Hire a mexican!

Post by Y2K »

Any idiot could be a Brickmason right?

Image

When the Average American consumer wants a firepit constructed in thier backyard they should run to that " Cash Deal" Guy with all those Spanish Speaking "Craftsmen." Why not? American's don't do that work anymore anyway.

What the fuck was up with that estimate from that Jack dude from Irwin Masonry? That asshole was way overpriced and all that quality cost more but is worth the investment shit he was trying to sell was a scam hidden in fancy Contractor Speak....

Image

This arrogant Dickhead even said that he could make the pit much more than just a place to burn wood, I'm glad those two other bids by Armando and Javier brought that bastard back to reality. This dickhead acted like he could create some kind of masonry Mona Lisa.

Image

Look, Even some illegal Mexican can figure out simple Masonry shit in ANY backyard, and "best of all" they're 20 % cheaper than that asshole because he claims to have a certified "highly trained" crew !

"Focal point of the yard, my ass,

Image

Hell, even I could probably build the damn thing.......

like this fraud actually DOES have one he built for his own home.......

I don't know the point of this thread. It seemed to go all over the place but here's my contribution.

No, Being a GOOD BrickMason takes har work, experience and skill.

Being a good anything requires hard work and experience.

You are so correct about Americans not being workers. We are losing our competitive edge to the Mexicans.

I expect they will be running our country in 40-50 years.

Think about it. The average American couple has 1.5 kids. White kids play video games, get fat and think that any job is beneath them.

The Average Mexican family is about 2 carloads.

Mexicans are hardworkers who landscape, do construction, work at every menial job imaginable.

***

The pit looks sweet!! Where's the pool??

Then why did you feel the need to respond? Your contributions to any thread are basically suck. So, how about you spuge out an anti-Yankee or bad joke take, delete them in shame, and get back to being a completely boring, irrelevant douche. If that doesn't work, go choke on a turd.

Looks kick ass Jack! What a difference from a month ago when that was basic dirt out back. I'll stop by this week to see it. Over here, my move in is complete and all electronics are up and running. This place kicks ass.

Good Hood? Sa'll Good..... Props on grabbing that place but will you walk to work is the question......

In retrospect I could have squeezed in a few Mexican's on the project, but the loss of self-indulgent Bode by simply saving nothing more than a large bottle of Advil and maintaining possession of most my powertools was well worth the risk of going solo.

I admit that you came over with the lofty ideals of a Mexican "Tude" employee but proved to be "white boy" worker much to quickly even with the use of your own cheap beer as a daily wage. It was quite apparent immediately once you asked to use the restroom and I had no need to find a anyone who could translate the many reasons why not to use the "Back of the Shed" as a place to unload urine it was a done deal. I do appreciate the solid effort, next time I'll supply the beer.....

THAT's where I discovered that cool bird house. As I was a pissin' I saw a work of art that apparently you don't appreciate. I have the perfect spot for it over here since you don't seem to want it. I'll even apply the Behr stain to it as I'm going to do the fence this week.

Access panel to Water, Natural Gas Control and a GFCI Electrical Outlet.

Can you do me a favor and clue Doggystyle in on the "Jack" from Irwin Masonry part, I don't want to confuse him any further.

I’m guessing that Y2K built that fire-pit, is proud of it and wanted to share photos of it.
Kind of like when you shared a photo of your bride, only with less smack.

It's a swell looking pit, I'll give you that much.

However... you're logged in to this thing called a "message board."
Its general purpose is to usually generate this thing called a "discussion."
Discussions usually work better when you're able to formulate cogent
sentences. That way, people can offer up feedback to the picture
you somehow managed to link. You seem to have mastered the whole
"mouse-click" thing. Props on that. Just limit your dumb self to posting
Caption Threads and it'll be all good. Or take some English lessons from
the Messicans who installed... no, stole... no, bought... no, supplied... what

I'm pretty sure it wasn't anything about your astute detailed discription of what is supposed to be post worthy spoken like some frustrated High School English teacher on Prozac. Here's the deal, When the rest of us students give a fuck about what makes you a happy Internet Board Reading Buddy we'll quit superglueing your eraser to the chalkboard.

You mean like washing the ashes into a metal drain hooked into a 3" ABS pipe located on the firebrick floor with a water hose convieniently located nearby?

With proper planning that gas powered firepit just might be built to fit a standard Weber 21" screen and with use of the natural gas, charcoal or different woods and a kettle lid has potential to be quite a handy as a "Smoker" or open pit BBQ.

Just maybe my Messicans can add a matching "built in" Vermont Castings Gas Grill with a side fridge and throw in a nice Spa just over to the left side of that Sago Palm. Maybe they can even build a staircase from my master bedroom balcony that comes down nearby.

Who knows?

If you didn't use the proper screws and power drill when constructing said balcony
it'll be "coming down nearby" sooner than you think.

I was thinking that maybe it was hinged and on frictionless casters so that the whole thing could be swiveled aside revealing not just a high tech ash disposal system, but a secret trap door to your newly constructed underground game room / titty bar complete with 60" home theater, disco floor, Nautilus workout system and custom slot car track.

so, you got a natural gas powered fire pit?

propane powered grills are bad enough, but, they do make sense if you don't have the time to fuss with charcoal. But, the idea of a fire pit is that you do have time. Time to sit around with friends, watch shit burn and get drunk. This very ancient custom should not be sullied by gas power. Gathering burnable shit, piling it up, dumping gas on it, lighting it, putting out your friend drunk friend who got too close, is all part of the experience. I 'spose it's got a remore fukking control too.

I realize that living in the desert and all, you don't have anything to burn, but, that's OK, the U&L, right up the freeway has plenty and will sell you some to support their meth habits.

You do realize that putting combustables in a gas firepit would clog the manifolds rather quickly, and render the gas jets useless rather quickly, right?
