I watched two episodes Sunday night on my 35" non-HD TV. I was hooked. I couldn't leave the couch. I even cried a lil' during the polar bear segment.

I bet the show looks awesome on all your fancy TVs.

He swam through the cold water for a long time and finally found land and was hungry and weak and was trying to catch a walrus to eat for dinner but didn't have enough strength and they all got away and he just gave up, curled up in the snow and died.

It was weally weally sad. :(

Tremendous show. There's amazing footage from start to finish.

How about when the Great White leaps 10 feet out of the ocean and snags a seal? Or when they show the wild dogs strategically coordinating the hunt?

THAT'S what I remembered from the show. I mean, I knew those things were 15 feet of solid muscle-driven power, but to lift that much weight completely out of the water was just flat out awesome.

The series is phenomenal.

I'm just glad the Discovery Channel is promoting it by telling everyone it's "What Oprah calls Greatest Documentary Ever Made!"

I'm fairly certain nobody in their right mind would be watching it without that meaningful endorsement.

To be specific, I'm an Ozzy fan when he made records with Randy Rhoades and Zak Wylde. A lot of the rest of his solo music was crap.

Prince is naturally more talented than Ozzy based solely on the fact that Prince plays an instrument, writes music and sings and Ozzy only sings. I think we're on the same page here, no?

I like some Prince tunes, I just get the feeling dude is more queer than watching "Trading Spaces" instead of the SuperBowl in early Feb.

^Yep. Not to mention the quality of the broads he has nailed: Vanity, Carmen Electra, to name a couple.

I'd put those two up against Sharon Osbourne anyday. Prince's two ex wives are pretty spectacular as well.

Ozzy wears makeup, dons or has donned tight, leather clothing, has someone style his long, permed hair. You sure he isn't a pole smoker himself?

Unless mvscal has some private, intimate knowledge of Prince's sexual proclivities?

Myself, I haven't really given the matter much thought. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say that Prince's unit goes into a lot of vaginas.

He's strikes me as the type of guy who wears a silk thong, waxes his chest and speaks with a lisp. Whether or not he has the ability to pull chicks has nothing to do with him not exactly being the most masculine guy on the planet, if you get my drift, which was my original point.
Can't really get into the guy's music, but...this "pole-smoking fruit" you guys are talking about, I'd wager to say has had more snatch than all of us on this board combined, x 3.
I never said he was a pole-smoking fruit, I said he embodied all that was gay.

I'm sure he HAS had more snizz than all of us combined, but the guy's a fucking celebrity (1) and a rock star (2). I would certainly HOPE he could pull that amount and that quality of ass.

Say what?!?

That prancing fairy can't hold a candle to Ozzy's body of work.

And OC, Zakk Wylde was indeed the shit. If this doesn't have the best bass line ever, I don't know what does.

Vic, don't ever compare Prince to Ozzy again.

By my count, I did acid 7 times, Wagon.

On the 7th time I spent 6 hrs staring into Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic album cover.
It was then that I realized I could spend my time more wisely.

I began posting on the boards.

Great series, but Sigourney Weaver sucks as a narrator.
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

Which, of course, has nothing to do with him being rich and famous. Doesn’t change the fact that he’d be a lock for the part of Tinkerbell if they redo Peter Pan.
