I gave it a thumbs up, even though I'd rather he have given up religion for an evening and made everybody happy instead of copping out with some covers.

It's about mass appeal. Buffet only appeals to fat, old dorks with VERY shitty taste in music.

So yeah, I guess he would've been a good pick for this event.

Considering that but for the wireless guitar connection he would have been electrocuted, the elfin funkster was amazingly professional pumping out a few hits. Has anyone ever performed in such a forum in the pouring rain? I really hoped he'd do a JB homage, something like, "let's bury the mutha fucka already!..." but fuck what all--fuck the Colts and Indiana.

Could have sworn I heard some serious picking going on for a few seconds with only one hand on the guitar, but didn't tape it. At least he didn't puss out in the rain. Props to the girls dancing in high heels on a wet stage, though.

Covering Foo Fighters was kind of strange to me but overall, he did fine...no real complaints. Would've like him to just do his own stuff instead of covers.

The fact that nobody has racked this is a shame.

I don't know about "greatest band in the world", but they were a damned good group and that was a great song.

I got a penthouse in Manhattan
2 more in Malibu
I bought a '87 Cadillac Seville
Girl, I got a Mazerati 2
I wear diamonds on my fingers
I got a couple on my toes
I wear the finest perfume money can buy
It keeps me smellin' like a rose
If U wonder how I do it
There's just one simple rule
I'm just cool (Cool)
Oh oh - Honey, baby can't U see?
Girl, I'm so cool (Cool)
Ain't nobody bad like me, hey

This^is their BEST song.

oh no you didnt... :dins:

with all the shred fag threads in here you don't know by now that anyone with even moderate skill can fret notes in a shredding flury without picking a single one. he could be GHJO with his right and shreding with his left. especially with the guitars/amps he uses.

that was pretty kick ass given the rain

Well, that one hand on the guitar didn't seem to be moving anywhere near as fast as it would have needed to, and it looked to be too low down on the neck to me.

But like I said it was only a few seconds and I didn't tape it, so can't really say fer sure.

But I agree it was decent given the conditions and all.

Prince is one talented mf'er. He's wrote dozens of hits for other artists besides the ones of his own. Although some of his stuff is silly as hell and borderline weird.

Here. Thanks for asking.

I could bore everyone with my detailed take on his performance, but I'll refrain. Long-story-short, and I'm sure Vic will agree, ..................... NAILS.

Nuh-uh.

MGO, your poll is incomplete.

Tards will be tards. And another one just threw his hat in the ring, climbed up on a soapbox, and screamed for the entire world to hear...

"I'M A FUCKING TARD!!!!"

Yeah, buddy...that "You smacked me, which means I'm in your dome, so I have BODE!"...yeah, that's some cutting edge shit right there.

And the thing that always makes it funny(but never in the way the tard intended), is it's always some bottom-rung dweeb who wouldn't know funny if it was mixed into a barium enema and shoved up his ass, who thinks he's really epic shit with the "I know...I'll post 'I'm in your dome' and everyone will see me as the master-of-sarcasm that I truly am!"...BECAUSE I INCLUDED A SMILEY!!! LOL!!!

I generally advocate madatory bannings or short "timeouts" for anyone who can't help but be that much of a fucking idiot, but on the other side of the coin...every board needs its tards.

And JSC usually doesn't disappoint in that regard.

Go ahead, JSC8TARD....just drop some "I know you are, but what am I"(aka "smacking it up KC-Style"), go pat yourself on the back for being such a witty guy, and call it a day.

Amazing levels of tardliness you've displayed.
