i can't help but think, respectfully, in the way the Beatles records my mom and uncle used to play totally made sense to me as a kid. personally, as a longtime Lips guy from Norman.....back to the late 80's....i liked them better when they played guitars and were loud and kinda sucked.......but if the kids like you....that's good.
and in Austin, Texas no less.

The Flaming Lips are getting their own street in Bricktown. They better make about 1,000 copies of it, 'cuz there will be a bunch of kids looking to have one of those signs hanging on their bedroom wall.

Hey Flaming Lips fans -- you should fucking kill yourselves for ever liking something that horrifically bad.
How did these non-musicians get left out of the "worst songs" thread?

actually they are only getting an alley. but if it were up to me they'd hand out 500 cans of spraypaint and let those kids go at it in the alley (which ain't gonna happen in the new bourgie OKC downtown.....which in the long run is probably better for the city, I guess. would be cooler if it wasn't so gentrified, as in Denver for example and the restaurants, bars, and venues weren't so plastic/trendy/faux urban).
or maybe Wayne Coyne, the original 4 time foldout lyric poster he drew (2 sided!) that came with the original Restless Hear it is LP was bitching. good look finding one of those these days. it was Pink Floydish. with Bod Dylan's head exploding. great stuff. white vinyl too. give him the spray cans.
