Thought about keeping the same divisions as last year and just drawing for the newbies...since I draw new divisions every year before, I figured I'd stick with it. The thing I'm happy about is seeing 23 players in Week 1...a lot more participation right off the bat.

Norris? NORRIS!? Why the fuck are 3 Albertans stuck in the the shit-hole Norris Divion? Northstars, Hawks, Toronto, Red Wings, Blues they all sucked! C'mon we're Smyth Divison all the way! Anyone want to switch divisons if Shoalzie alows it? I don't want to compete against my wife and cicatrix... Shoalzie if you won't spread us out, how about putting JD and Billdong with us. It would be some good battle of Alberta rivalry.

Actually I'll quit bitching and I'll thank you for putting this on. I remember how much time it used to take it ain't an easy task... You'd think one of the computer nerds out their would have developed a website for us to make our picks at so that Shoalzie wouldn't have to do it each week.

This is how I drew the divisions...

We had 23 players and 4 divisions, so I flipped a coin to figure out which division would start with just 5 players. Then, I wrote everyone's names down a scraps of paper and drew them out of my Red Wings ball cap. It's totally coincidental that a bunch of OilerFans are in the same division. Don't worry about which division you're in...just compete each week and have fun. Hopefully we can keep up the same participation each week...20 players or so and we have an active game.

As for doing this on a site...I like doing this game the way it is. I have a nice system between the message board and keeping track of things on a spreadsheet. It's a simple concept and I don't really need help. I need to make sure I make time each week to set things up so it's quick and easy to record everything and I can post results in a timely fashion. I hope everyone is generally happy with how this game is ran...I took over for dfromoottawa several years ago and I think it's gone pretty well.
