I didn't get to hear all of Wright's speech, but the end was great.

Aikman's speech was fantastic.

Where is RuPaula Walker Lindh stealing his posts from now? The real reason the live-with-Mom fatass does it is because he can't read or write. Mom reads him the posts and then he cuts and pastes responses from hundreds of boards.

Enjoy your beat-down, Tubby.

Indeed.

It almost made me admire Cowpoke fan. You could simply feel the passion and pride he felt in being a member of that squad.

The rest had a tough act to follow, because that old timer freaking nailed it. Madden might as well have stayed on the bus, because as usual, he comes across like a gibbering buffoon.

Gotta' admit, I'd never even heard of Rayfield Wright before today. I was watching mainly to hear Warren Moon speak (who did a fine job, btw).

There are many reasons to love Al Davis.

Dude is passionate. Dude is committed to excellence. Dude understands the game of football.

If any of you have ever seen "75 Years of the NFL" done by TNT and NFL Films in the early-90s, ya'll know what I mean.

To be fair, Al is interviewed in that documentary, which I have on VHS and still watch, to this day, every year or so about this time, and dude is ABSOLUTE NAILS. I can't quote him verbatim, but he basically says that the NFL is about passion, pagentry, competition ... and that it's beautiful.

He's to be RACKED eternally, in my book, for his contributions to the league.

....

That being said, about now I feel sorry for RaiderFan. Yes, yes, I know. Didn't think it was possible. ('sup KC Fraud)

RJ, pop, Assassin Jack, RL ...

Damn dudes, it was fucking EMBARRASSING, as an NFL fan, to see a legend being helped off the stage in a walker, when John Madden was about to make his speech.

You guys need a new owner, in the worst way, it's not even funny.

Say what, you naive little turdling?

Not having heard of someone makes one an idiot?

Great take, you goofy dipshit.

Actually, I used the wrong word.

It's ignorant, not idiot. Idiot would imply that you actually remember or know something about the guy. My bad.

You're an ignorant dumbfuck, not an idiotic one.

Age doesn't count in the ignorance category. I remember seeing him play. I used to cheer for the Cowboys, under Tex Schramm.

Pretty much every post that I've ever witnessed you peck out.

Stay with stickying threads and uselessly linking one forum to another, mr power drunk naive admin.

That's what you're good at.

Try avoiding the drive-bye ankle biter type style that'll get you pulverized by someone much more adept at this smack thingy than you are.

I watched both Al's presentation speech and big John's acceptance speech on YouTube.

WONDERFUL viewing for Raider fan.

RACK J. Madden for speaking the following early on in his delivery ........

NFL teams ought to honor their history more. Sometimes we tend to get caught up in the players and the games now. Honor your history. Bring back your Hall of Famers. Bring back their teammates. Let your fans show their appreciation for it's history.

Couldn't agree more.

The Raider family is proud of Al Davis.

Let’s face it we’re all getting older and it fucking sucks! I applaud the courageous Al Davis for stepping it up and hitting it out of the park with his passion and conviction for the silver and black. Al Davis may not enter any fucking marathons in the future but he will run his organization with more love for his players, past and present, than any other owner in the history of the game.

John Madden was classic. If the busts really do come to life and converse after the lights are killed and the doors are locked…
I laughed – John is one of a kind.

John Madden embraces the true spirit of the game in the most passionate sense. The day he removes himself from the game will indeed be a sad day for this soldier of the old guard.

It was awesome when John asked his players, no, insisted that his players stand and share their moment. It was outstanding to see so many Raider greats gathered in Canton yesterday to salute the man that dominated the other HOF coaches he faced throughout his tenure.

Just enshrine, Baby!

Spoken like a true fan who can overlook the rather obvious penchant of Madden for making a complete fooking fool out of himself.

Sorry, bro...but the day that fat fuckface steps away from the game and justs STFU for a change...will be a good one for anyone who's objectively had to endure his twisted, inane ramblings all these years.

More like, he embarrased the fuck out of them and they too couldn't wait for him to just STFU and get the hell away from the microphone.

Complete nonsense.

They love Madden, and Madden loves them.

In the Oakland Raiders, Al Davis has fostered the greatest 'family' in pro sports.

Madden and those players of the 70s are at the heart of the family.

RACKS to all of 'em.

I agree. Next to Wright's speech, Madden's was the best. A man that has done more for the game of football the past 35 years than any other person.

Yet during the same time frame, Chuck Noll, Don Shula and Tom Landry all won more championships.
