Texas Flag Code
§ 3100.055. Display on Flagpole or Flagstaff With Flag of United States

If it is necessary for the state flag and the flag of the United States to be displayed on the same flagpole or flagstaff, the United States flag should be above the state flag.
If the state flag and the flag of the United States are displayed on flagpoles or flagstaffs at the same location:
the flags should be displayed on flagpoles or flagstaffs of the same height;
the flags should be of approximately equal size;
the flag of the United States should be, from the perspective of an observer, to the left of the state flag;
the flag of the United States should be hoisted before the state flag is hoisted; and
the state flag should be lowered before the flag of the United States is lowered.

They got waxed, and I was never so happy to lose that last game so we could get the hell out of there as opposed to if they had won and having to stay another night. Not to re-hijack this thread, but it looks like Board Bitch Paul finally attempted somewhat of an apology via PM.

Unfortunately, the time to come correct wasn't yesterday with a back-handed offering after you'd exhausted all other options.

Nope ... the time to come correct wasn't after you'd once again spent the better part of nine pages making an absolute ass of yourself, all the while thumbing your nose at other posters trying to offer advice.

You placed your own head on the tee with that KC Forum post, and then tried to play the victim card when it got smashed over the fence.

Had you come correct on page one, you'd still likely spend this season at the bottom of the pile, but that's nothing new for you. While stealing posts and claiming them as your own isn't a capital offense, by any means, it's likely going to mark your posting legacy.

I have to admit ... catching you with your hand in the cookie jar was quite amusing, but nothing compared to the train wreck that ensued. Given enough rope, you managed to not only hang yourself, you put on one hell of a marionette show for the entire board in the process.

I also paused that morning to check out the A&M bonfire that was under construction. Even in early October the thing was freakin massive. Of course we all know what happened to that particular bonfire.

True story: This new dumbfuck, cocksucking president at my company thought it would be good for business a few years ago to run the Mexican national flag up the pole outside the front door to impress some customers we had visiting that day.

Half the guys on the shop floor walked off the job and threatened not to come back until that rag was removed. It didn't stay up there for long.

Somehow, that dipshit is still in charge down there, but he'll never be forgiven by the rank and file (who aren't Hispanic) for that absurd indiscretion...much like most of us will never forgive Paul for that last straw that finally broke his back.

In all fairness to Texas, War Wagon... Beaumont is hardly the Crown Jewel of the State. Beaumont is THE city to make fun of in Texas. It certainly sucks.

BSmack - The TX/LA border was ground zero for Rita. The Port Arthur/Orange/Sabine Pass area got the worst of it. Granted, it's a 20-30 minute drive from Beaumont but Beaumont wasn't all that bad off from Rita.

After my time spent in post-Katrina New Orleans, I (and a few others from our office) became some sort of hurricane disaster area security experts and got sent to Orange & Port Arthur for a couple of days. It wasn't that bad at all. No power but the damage was essentially minor wind damage and moderate tree falling damage.

11 months after Katrina, I was simply astounded by the damage still evident to those areas along U.S. 90 right on the Gulf. I mean, I had seen it on TV and shit, but nothing like seeing it in person. The bridge over Biloxi Bay is still pancaked.

But they are starting to rebuild, sortof. Rack those folks. I stayed in an Econolodge that wasn't damaged much right on the former strip that was only 1/3 full for a measly $80. I couldn't have sniffed that place a year ago w/o reservations 3 months in advance and two bills a night. Walked right across the road to the beach (still littered with debris) and soaked in the bathwater warm waters of the Gulf. Not exactly a Corona commercial, but close enough. Went to the Isle of Capri casino which has now re-opened and won $400 on a damn video poker machine. Nirvana much?

Next day, we headed west towards New Orleans, and I thought it'd be cool to check it out. Maybe get wifey a drink on Bourbon Street or some such...check out the levees that had failed, yadda, yadda...BAD IDEA!

Got stuck in traffic for 30 minutes due to road construction on I-10 over Lake Pontchartrane. Finally get up to the bottleneck, and there's like 6, count 'em SIX, fucking dudes standing out there putzing around blocking a MAJOR FUCKING INTERSTATE, whist they did whatever it was they were doing. Looked liked they were drilling holes in the bridge taking soil samples.

At this point, I need to take a piss, I want another cup of coffee, and my gas gauge is hovering around 1/4 tank. Yes, I AM a dumbfuck, I should have taken care of these things back in Slidell.

But I soldier on. Afterall, there's bound to be some gas stations and shit right up ahead once i get over this goddamned bridge, right? RIGHT?

I arrive in what I loosely term as a Third World country. Gas Stations? Coffee? Piss? YOU FUCKING IDIOT! WTH are you doing HERE?

Whilst the wife was bitching about not getting her drink on Bourbon St., I sped thru that godforsaken hellhole on my way to Baton Rouge.

I dated a hot (REALLY HOT) Baptist chick from Lumberton, a suberb of Beaumont. When I went to visit their family for the first time, as I sat down to dinner, her dad goes off on this "nigga" this and "nigga" that. This is the FIRST time he ever met me. Her older brother, who didn't live there but came to eat every night, was right there with him.

Well, I was supposed to be with them for two more days so I put up with it. Last night I was there, I finally convinced this gal to give it up. Popped her damn cherry (literally, she was a virgo) and took off the next morning. I called her up that night and broke it off.

Well, I found out later that her family is heavy into the KKK in Lumberton. Her dad was the preacher at the Baptist church in Lumberton. Also, I found out Vidor (right next to Lumberton) is the KKK capital of the world.

So yeah, Beaumont is a racist shithole of a town. Judging Texas based upon Beaumont is like judging California based upon Compton.

I-10 around Beaumont has been under construction for damn near twenty years. I fucking HATE driving through there! I don't think its a stretch to call it a bum fucking shithole. I would say that a very close neighbor to them, Lake Charles, LA, is worse but at least they have a couple of nice casinos.

Nope, different place altogether. Woody's Icehouse is just this place off Westheimer that is nothing more than building that can be opened up so that on good days it is an open air bar. Lots of people drinking after work and a bartender named Ruth (at least when I was there) who was kinda like a down home Texas version of Carla from Cheers.

Ok, on the subject of Beaumont again.

We're down there at this tournament playing some Texas team, and some of the parents on the other team want to start running BBQ smack, knowing that we're from KC. Classic discussions, I mean to tell. We were all like "loser is buying the BBQ"....that was the only damn game we won.

Anyways, they tell me that this joint there called Willy Rays right off I-10 has this all you can eat BBQ buffet for only $11.99 and that the pork ribs were the excellent.

I'm getting hungry just discussing good BBQ, and make up my mind to check it out.

They were half right...the pork ribs were damn good. But what the fuck is with this sweet sauce you folks are slavering all over this outstanding meat? Are you kidding me? I might as well dip my ribs in the sauce that McDonalds gives you with chicken McNuggets.

I'm like, "do you have any other sauce with a bit more bite to it?"...and they're looking at me funny, like "what's wrong with the sauce"?

If there's a next time, I'm bringing a bottle of Gates down there with me and edumacating those fools.
